I grew up fishing the Umpqua River and local lakes as a kid. I started fishing the ocean at 20 years old started running a Bayliner trophy out taking friends and family. I fished the ocean for about 22 before becoming a professional guide. I like meeting new people talking to them and teaching them how to fish

10-stündiger Ausflug – Heilbutt (Geteilt) • 2 ErwachseneMark gave as smooth a ride as possible through some choppy seas. It took awhile, but he kept us on the hunt for fish the entire time. We fished hard even with a sea sick wife on board. He even stretched the time to make sure we went home with fish. On the way in, he gave us some crab from his pots at the inlet. We ate really well on that crab. He also filets the halibut for me so it is cooler ready. Book this man! You wont be sorry. Thanks Mark!!!
Antwort vom Kapitänit was a pleasure having you and the wife on the boat. thank you for the review
Luke Ference5.0VerifiziertVery accommodating captain.
8-stündiger Ausflug – Lachs • 2 ErwachseneMark did everything in his power to make sure that we came home with fish in the cooler. We caught 3 amazing salmon, and since we didnt limit out he ended up throwing fresh crabs straight from the pot in as well. He is extremely knowledgeable, and has great equipment that is well taken care of. I wouldn’t dream of booking with anyone but Mark if I was ever in the area again!

Pink fin perch fishing
Juni 11, 2025 • Winchester Bay
Clients booked a ocean salmon trip. I told him conditions would not allow us to get out. He replied they were down for any type of fishing that was in season. I told him there were pink fin perch in the river and a chance of salmon in the river. We met at the dock at 5:30 in the morning by 8:00. We had our limits of perch and I asked him if they wanted to try for salmon in the river. They replied they were down for it. About an hour into the troll. We hooked up on a Chinook stripped a lot of line. It looked like it was a good size fish. It ran underneath the boat. Before i could get the client to hold the rod down and out. The line ran across the bottom of the boat and snapped our 50 lb braid. The clients have never hooked a salmon before. It seemed like they're happy to just have one on the line.
