    What a great day with Captain Mark and his mate Chris! I took four kids and myself and they were extremely helpful with the kiddos and their fishing experience. Especially my daughter who got a little see sick. Captain Mark and Chris made great suggestions that were really helpful in turning her day around and making sure her day was as good as could be. She went from crying and wanting to go home to jumping back on the rod and asking if we could go again soon. Thank you guys again for a great time, we’ll be back!!

    Amazing Trip

    Captain, crew and boat are top notch. They had a variety of bait available to suit what the fish were biting that day. They were honest that chances of catching a mahi (for this time of year and near shore) were low, yet when an opportunity presented itself they had gear ready to capitalize on the situation and we caught one. Great memory for our 10yo son who reeled in so many fish he slept the whole way back to the marina. Will definitely book with Markin Fish again!

    April fishing trip

    Halbtagesausflug – Küstennah • 5 Erwachsene

    Captain knows where the fish are. Caught about 10 fish trolling then another 15 bottom fishing in a 4 hour charter. We weren’t bringing in any big trophy fish, but it was a great trip to get everyone reeling in some fish. Quick ride out and quick equipment setup. 10/10

    Wonderful day on the water

    We had a wonderful experience on the boat. They were so patient with my kids and help us tremendously to catch seven mackerel. they made sure we all were occupied with something throughout the time. I would highly recommend these guys.

    Mark and Chris did a fantastic job on the trip. Constantly working and looking for fish. Making it easy on me and my kids to get baited and back in the water. Would recommend and use again!

Fishing Report - August

Aug. 1, 2016 • St. Petersburg
As we simmer on through summer, August in West Central Florida provides some excellent fishing opportunities. Groupers, Snappers, Barracudas, Sharks and Dolphin are regular catches with Markin’ Fish this month. The typical light winds make the long runs offshore a breeze and also allow for some awesome drift fishing over hard bottom areas. Best Bet – Snappers Without a doubt, August is one of the best times to target the various species of Snapper we have in our area. Red, Mangrove, Lane and Yellowtail are plentiful on wrecks and ledges in 90 to 150 feet. Anchoring and chumming is not only the most productive method, but also the most fun, as you never know what may show up in the chumline. Cobia, Dolphin, Wahoo and Amberjack are all attracted to the buffet line. There should be some exceptional fishing on the nights of the full moon on the 17th, 18th, 19th and 20th. Limits of large Mangrove Snapper to 8lbs are common. Try it for a great way to beat the summer heat. Call CAPT Mark to set up a trip customized to your schedule.
