  We had an incredible day King Salmon fishing on the Delta with Captain Doug McArthur of Team Mc Fishing Guide Service. My coworker and I both landed 17-pound King Salmon - this was my very first salmon catch ever, and it's an experience I won't forget! Captain Doug's passion for what he does is obvious from the moment you step on the boat. He was determined and wouldn't stop until we both landed our fish. Along the way, I learned so much about King Salmon fishing techniques on the Delta - he's clearly knowledgeable and loves sharing that with his clients. The customer service was top-notch from start to finish, and the whole day felt perfectly run. If you're looking for a guide who's skilled, patient, and genuinely invested in making sure you have a great trip, look no further. Highly recommend Captain Doug and Team Mc Fishing Guide Service - we'll definitely be back!

  Capt Doug was determined to get us into feeding fish! We trolled, jigged and anchored! He was willing to do what was needed without forcing a predetermined method. I finished the day with 7 stripers and 4 catfish!! Thankyou Doug for guiding me to my completion of catching a fish in all 50 states! Catching a striper in the delta has been a goal for a while now. Hope to see you in Michigan, just let me know your species choice, we will make it happen. Capt Doug was an exceptional guide, skill, knowledge, friendly, sense of humor, flexibility! I highly recommend team Mcfishing for your delta fishing experience! Also, it was a sweltering 102° and we were still successful

  Thank you for choosing me to complete this quest of yours. It didn't feel like work to me at all, it was like fishing with an old friend even though we have never met before. This is the reason I like taking people fishing, to enjoy the time on the water with good people, creating memories to last a lifetime. Hopefully you make it back to California for another trip one day, and it's not 102° with 74° water temps, lol. But as my motto goes, Make it happen Captain! I'm so happy we could complete the quest for you and now it's time for me to come out your way and learn some new fishing techniques in your backyard. Thank you again for choosing me to make this happen.

  Targeting Striped Bass on the California Delta

  I consider myself a knowledgeable and experienced angler as I have spent most of my life enjoying a variety of fishing. From the lakes and streams of the Rockys and Sierra Nevadas targeting native species of trout, flipping lures in Gold County ponds in hopes to fight a springtime largemouth bass or Crappie, to trolling in the ocean for king salmon. I know my way around a rod and reel to say the least. In my travels I have come in contact with only a few that see the outdoors through a similar lens as I. Living in the age of technology, it is easy to get sucked into the opinions of others and make the sport so competitive that it has become more of a status symbol and an opportunity to sell product than enjoying a nice day on the water. I started the day fishing with a man with 2 young boys I had never met and left the dock as friends. I learned some new tricks to make me more successful while targeting stripers and restored my hope that there are a few others still around that enjoy the entire experience of a good day on the water, and not just when the reel is screaming with a hog on the other end of the line, which in fact were did our fair share of that as well. Capt. McArthur thank you for getting me on board at the last minute and showing us all a great day. Thank you for showing the next generation of sportsman what it's really all about. I would highly recommend booking a trip!

  Had an awesome experience with Team Mc Fishing. From start to finish the trip was professional, well-organized, and a blast. Captain Doug was extremely knowledgeable of the waterway and did an incredible job putting us right on the fish. You could tell he knew exactly where to go and when to be there. A huge shoutout to deckboss Matt as well—he was very knowledgeable, patient, and always willing to help. Whether it was explaining techniques, adjusting gear, or sharing insight on fish behavior, Matt made sure everyone felt confident and had a great time. Top-notch crew all around. Highly recommend Team Mc Fishing to anyone looking for a great day on the water. 🎣

  My two boys were very happy with their catches — one striped bass weighing 7 pounds 11 ounces, and the other almost 4 pounds. Even though we only caught two fish, we truly enjoyed the peaceful and relaxing experience on the water. Captain Doug and his crew were experienced, professional, and very helpful, making the trip safe and enjoyable for our family. Their guidance and friendly attitude made the outing even more memorable.

  thank you guys for joining us for a nice day on the water with a good breeze finally. The heat has hit us earlier than normal and we are making adjustments as necessary to stay on top of these fish that are moving into the rivers. Looking forward to our next trip, hopefully we will get the boys on some salmon in a few months. Thanks again for choosing to spend your day with us!
