Halbtagesausflug (4 Stunden) Morgen 4 Personen • 2 ErwachseneThis was a special outing for our 13 year old grandson who was just passing through Houston, with his mother, on a very tight schedule late Sunday to Thursday of this week. The weather forecast was horrible for Tuesday 7/14, but Izi our captain kept us abreast hoping that we would get a break by Tuesday. Things were not looking good but Izi changed our trip from the 6 AM to 2 PM since Wednesday was not possible for us. On our trip to Galveston from Houston it rained all the way, but, when we got to the marina it stopped completely, just a great overcast and temperature in the 70’s, fantastic, Izi was right on the weather! But that was just the start, the boat was very well kept and Izi had all the equipment and safety gear necessary, with very well kept rods in like new condition, and plenty of live bait! Izi is a very kind and pleasant person, and he was incredible in winning over our 13 year old grandson Huxley. Izi would teach him but let him handle his rod, never pressuring, or loosing patience as our grandson learned the ropes. Izi took us to a few spots, and we were constantly getting action, unfortunately some of the speckle trouts we caught weren’t large enough to keep. We did keep some sand trouts and a large gaff top catfish, since our grandson was insisting that he had to eat what he caught. We all laughed and Izi clean the catch for us. At no time did Izi mentioned the end of our scheduled trip, and frankly my wife and I were ready to go back. Izi and our grandson were having such a good time that we really appreciated Izi’s kind personality. Izi surprised us as we approached the dock, insisting that he would take us by the battleship Texas, now being refurbished in the port. That was incredibly kind of Izi, and the final touch on a great adventure. We will certainly do this again with Izi, and bring family and friends on future fishing trips.

All throughout the charter he would explain what type of fish we caught, what the fish taste like and the size of each fish per regulation to keep. He navigated the waters expertly to help keep the boat steady for my wifes motion sickness. Not once did she have any issues with motion sickness. He also engaged with my boys the entie time to make sure they caught fish and had a god time. We caught fish the entire time. It ws the best fishing experience ever.

The captain went above and beyond to make sure the kids were safe, comfortable, and learned how to fish. The captain brought us to the perfect spots, and seeing the smiles on my kids' faces when they reeled in their catches was priceless. The boat was very clean and well-equipped. We highly recommend this trip to any family looking for an unforgettable adventure!

We went home with 1 speckled trout, 1 drum and a beautiful red fish! Captain Izzy's boat was well equipped and he was quick to re-bait our hooks over and over. Very personable and easy going. It was a great day! I highly recommend!

Captain Izzy was professional, very knowledgeable, and made our experience a very positive one! I would definitely suggest or refer his services to anyone looking to book a charter in Galveston. And, when I come back into town again for a fishing charter, Captain Izzy will be the first one that I call!
