For Captain Jim fishing Lake Erie is his job as well as his passion. It all began more than five decades ago, when he had the chance to share his passion for fishing Walleye with family and friends. Captain Jim and his team will teach you their fishing tricks, such as what bait works the best, or how deep you should target feeding fish. They will take you to the best spots and will make sure you have the very best experience. And that's what people love the most about Jim's business. Their passion for fishing as well as making their clients have a wonderful time on the water.

    Awsome Fishing Charter

    We decided to do a trip with Captain Jim. I have went out on his boat 5 other times. When I had a few guys that wanted to go this year I couldn't think of anyone better to go with that Makin Memories! The knowledge Captain Jim has of the lake and the fish is outstanding. This crew will go above and beyond the get you the fish you deserve! Went out this past Saturday and had an amazing time! We couldn't ask for better weather, more fish, or a better crew to guide us on this fishing trip! If your looking to go and want a charter group that makes your trip a priority and has the knowledge to go along with thier skills Makin Memories is who you want!

    Fabulous sunset cruise

    Captain Jim & wife were so hospitable & friendly. We had a fabulous time touring parts of Lake Erie & hearing some history of the area. We look forward to booking future trips with them & even trying some fishing.

    Walleye trip with Captain Jim

    Great experience, crew was very knowledgeable, accommodating and friendly. Made sure all of us on board had a good time and all our needs were met. We had 5 of us (my father, 2 brothers, my wife and myself) and everyone had a great time. Had some choppy waves and they made sure we were safe and secure. Would highly recommend anyone to experience lake Erie fishing with this crew. Thank you for a wonderful time. Our mini family reunion was awesome and we definitely were "making memories".

    Awesome trip!

    Superbowl Special - $100 per person • 6 Erwachsene

    Captain Jim put us right on the fish during an evening charter and we were back at the dock with our limit on the board within 2 1/2 hours of fishing. Very knowledgeable with years of experience! I would highly recommend this trip to anyone looking for a walleye trip!

    Captain Jim and First Mate Mariah were great. This was the first experience on such a trip for a couple of us. The Captain explained our options to us regarding the weather, the waves and any seasickness. He was very patient and accommodating. Captain Jim is a seasoned Captain who clearly knows what he is doing. He also worked hard to be sure we caught all the fish we could, even turning to go back out so we could fish longer in deeper water to catch more fish. We had a good day on the lake, caught our limit of walleye and enjoyed the experience. Will definitely use Making Memories again if we do another fishing trip. You will not regret going with this Charter.

    It was an off day, nobody on the lake was catching anything but Jim and Mario still made it a memorable trip. Cranked in some big ones, had fun and learned a lot about catching walleyes. We'll be back!

    Captain Jim and his First Mate Mariah were wonderful. Mother Nature was a bit to be reckoned with as far as catching our limit this day. However, they were an awesome crew, taught us a lot, and they were friendly and cordial the entire time. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a Lake Erie charter. The boat is easy to find, it's simple to park, and there was more than enough room for our group.

    Great sailor whom was professional and objective. Caught some beautiful fish and observed Jim navigate with the rules of the road in mind. Can say that with 27 years experience as a Navy veteran. Solid boat with plenty of leg room that is indeed blue water capable. We will return for a follow up fishing trip. There is no need or desire to call someone else to get the job done.
