    Father/Son trip

    3-Stunden-Ausflug - 6:30 Uhr • 2 Erwachsene

    We didn't have any experience saltwater fishing, and the captain was really good at teaching me and my boy how to fish for what we were after. We got on trout really quick, and once we hit our limit, we went after the reds. Overall it was a great trip, memorie were made and we look forward to doing it again.

    Three old geezers fishermen.

    Three of us who have fished together for over 45 years decided to make a trip to Port Mansfield. We have done this many times before however it has been several years. As our luck goes a huge front came in. Our first day was a no go even though Ruben did try to see if we could find fishable waters. Got back to shore safely. Next day we did great with limits of reds and a few trout. Our last day was not as good mainly because of the conditions after a front passing. That is fishing on the lower Laguna Madre. Over all we had a great time. Ruben is a fine fishing guide who works hard. We plan to use him next year if he will put up with us. Even though our last day was slow with several trout we also caught a 22 inch speckled trout that needed to be through back in the water because of the new fishing regulations. That’s fishing.

    Ruben is an excellent guide and very personable too. He tended to all the fine details the entire trip. He made your fishing trip experience very enjoyable. . Caught some great fish and just had a perfect time. Ruben will be my fishing guide for all my future trips. Thank you

    Full day with Capt. Ruben

    The day started out at 7am. Capt. Ruben was early, his boat was orderly and equipment was ready to go. We got right to getting to the fishing spots. Al the equipment used was operational and in excellent shape. Live well was full of bait. First cast out my son hooked a nice spotted sea trout and the day continued with fish after fish. Capt. Ruben was professional and down to earth. He was fantastic with my son and answered all his questions. I would highly recommend booking with him and we will again when we return.

    Caught max redfish. Captain was knowledgeable, and super patient with the rookies. He was very calm and good-natured. 10/10 will book again!

Fishing has been great down here on the S. Texas coast! Trout and redfish in the mix with a few black drum as well! Shrimp under a cork has been working for us well! Lets go catch some fish and make some memories! Give me a shout, book trip, lets go!

Tagged Redfish Alert!

Great day on the water! What a day to remember, not only did we release a big healthy trout but we also hooked up to a Tagged CCA Redfish! Unfortunately David wasnt registered in the Star Tournament so he was not able to submit the fish! Still one hell of a day to remember and great memeories made!

Winter Fishing Trips

Jan. 14, 2022 • South Padre Island
Fishing has been great down here on the Texas Coast, in between cold fronts the fishing has been great. We are seeing good numbers of Speckled trout and have been catching some drag peeling redfish! Lures seems to have been doing the teick, pink and plum have been working well for us.
