My crewmen and I have extensive experience in fishing the Fort Lauderdale/Miami areas: two Bahamas Billfish Championships and numerous tournament wins in addition to our many years of local chartering. None of us enter into tournament fishing anymore and instead choose to spend our days furthering experienced and novice anglers experiences at deep sea fishing and smoothly introducing new anglers to deep sea fishing. Children are always welcome and we encourage you to bring yours along. Between us, we have a combined total of over 90 years guiding anglers in their pursuit of big game fish and also 'action' charters tailored to meet each charters specific wishes. We love what we do, it is all we do, and our love for our job is easily seen with Trip Advisor and Google reviews as well as here at Fishing Booker, as all carry us with a 5-star rating.

Trip my teen boys will never forget

    3 Stunden privater Ausflug4 Erwachsene

My boys have been begging for a trip like this for nearly a decade twice we’ve been to Florida and twice the weather as fouled our attempts. Perhaps it was the anticipation, regardless they are over the moon. The first mate, Nick, hustled his butt off and JJ the captain made sure they went home feeling the fishing highs and lows. JJ took us to 3 spots on the 4 turned 5 hour trip 1 failed 1 produced and the third provided thrills and lows with multiple almost catches that were hard to work and just broke free. Honestly it was perfect and our boys will likely never forget the memories made on the trip. We then went out to a cook your catch restaurant after that blew all our minds. Today no doubt created the kind if core memory you want on a trip like this. Boat was great too

    what a great birthday!

    3-stündiger Hai-Angelcharter - 15:00 Uhr6 Erwachsene4 Kinder

Captain JJ and his first mate were amazing (sorry I forgot your name but thats a testimate to my bad memory, and not his service)!! I went with my family (including four kids, reading from 12 to 7) for my birthday, and the crew, took their time explaining everything to the kids and how it all works because we are not avid fishermen but after this experience, we definitely want to become and look forward to chartering more trips on this great boat with its great crew!

    Amazing experience and awesome crew!

    3 Stunden privater Ausflug6 Erwachsene1 Kind

Had a great time with Marlin my Darlin! Came out from New Mexico in hopes of giving my parents a “bucket list” experience out on the sea. Captain JJ delivered that and then some. Afternoon charter, we started with several awesome Bonitas and then some good looking blackfin tuna. Soon after, we reeled in a massive 64” Wahoo. What an amazing experience pulling this beauty in, for all on the boat including first mate Landon who was awesome. We were not done, Captain JJ and Landon set out heavier rigging and it was only a few minutes later hook was set on a monster! A 30 minute reel in and we had caught an 8-foot Hammerhead Shark. What a frikin experience. So exciting and so much fun. When in the Miami/Ft. Lauderdale area, look up Marlin My Darlin and book. There is no reason to look any further.

    Go Big or Go Home!!

    6-stündiger Hochsee-Ausflug (Morgen)5 Erwachsene

For us, this was an experience of a lifetime! Visiting our son in Ft. Lauderdale we had an empty morning in our schedule. After checking out the availability and reading some reviews, we decided to go with Marlin My Darling. From the minute we showed up, I knew we got this right! We were greeted by Kaylee our awesome First Mate and her Capt. Nick. They asked us what we wanted to fish for? We opted for Capt. & Crews choice, Show us a good time and if we catch some fish great. It didn’t take long… 10 minutes in we catch a 40” mahi-mahi. That was just the beginning. We trolled, drifted, kite fished and bottom fished hoping for the big one, We were on fish the whole time, we caught (2) 40” Mahi’s, 8 yellowtail snappers, triggers, mackerel, lizard fish, a large moray eel and the last fish of the day was an absolute wall-hanger - massive 120” Hammerhead Shark😳. The fishing aside, nothing was more important than the experience we had with our FirstMate Kaylee and Capt. Nick. They worked so hard and the fishing Gods were blessing us. We fought the shark for about 90 minutes, taking turns, it was seamless changing in and out of the fighting chair and then Capt. Nick came down from the crows nest got an official measurement and a tag into the shark and lots of pictures. It’s always good when you go on these trips and catch fish, but that’s not guaranteed! what was is controllable is the people that take you out on the water and their commitment to showing the customer a great time. Kaylee educated us on everything that was happening with multiple lines in the water doing different things - we understood everything that was going on amidst the chaos. These two were just amazing! We give them five stars across-the-board! More importantly, we met two new friends. This will be one of our regular to do’s when we come down to visit! If you’re surfing the Internet looking for a charter - look no further, this was an amazing experience. Thank you, Kaylee and Capt. Nick will see you again soon and thank you, Marlin My Darling for putting together such a great experience for us.

    Outstanding Catching Trip!

    5-stündiger Ausflug Nachmittag2 Erwachsene

We booked Marlin my Darlin for a 5 hour afternoon fishing trip. Meet up with the boat was super easy, even though they were not at their regular slip due to the Fort Lauderdale boat show. As soon as we headed out, lines were in the water catching bait fish. We caught a golden amberjack over 50 inches, a great barracuda about the same size, and 2 skip jack. Captain Nick knew exactly how to find the fish, and how to hook up. Also, his first mate Kaylee and second mate Landon were outstanding as well. We have been on many fishing charters and would highly recommend this crew. We would definitely book again as long as we could get the same Captain and crew. Thanks for a great day.

Was beißt bei Marlin My Darlin Sportfishing in Fort Lauderdale

Summertime Sailfishing

Aug. 3, 2026 • Fort Lauderdale
Fort Lauderdale Fishing Report Aboard the Marlin My Darlin Fleet This Week Highlights 8/1/26 This week, the Fort Lauderdale fishing scene aboard the Marlin My Darlin fleet has been outstanding. Over the past 10 days, fishing has been exceptional as seagrass begins to ease, opening up a wider range of techniques for all our charters. Bottom fishing is strong, trolling has been phenomenal, and live-bait fishing remains highly productive. The relief from seagrass has been tremendous and should only improve as we move deeper into fall. Reef Trolling Reef trolling has been exceptional with big schools of fish showing up. Bonita are around, along with a number of nice-sized Wahoos (Dorado). King mackerel are still a bit spread out, but several days have produced limits. We’re also seeing a good number of summertime Sailfish in the area. Reef trolling remains one of our premier techniques, and we expect it to stay a top option as we head into fall. Offshore Mahi Offshore Mahi fishing is heating up. Seagrass patches are starting to group into large paddies, drawing Mahi to shade and bait fish beneath. This seasonal pattern typically ramps up now and tends to be particularly strong in the coming months, often reaching a peak later in the year. Expect excellent offshore Mahi action as our charter season progresses. Bottom Fishing Summertime brings consistently strong bottom fishing, especially for snappers along the reef and in deeper waters. Yellowtails, mangrove snappers, and mutton snappers are perennial favorites, and over the past couple weeks the action has been steady and should continue through the fall. Bottom fishing remains one of our most reliable techniques. Swordfishing Offshore daytime and nighttime swordfishing has been fantastic. Reports from the fleet are outstanding, with some boats catching multiple bites in a single charter day. Summer typically offers favorable conditions for daytime swordfishing, often accompanied by mahi-mahi, blackfin tuna, tunas, and occasional Sailfish at night. While winter is traditionally best for swordfish, summer provides exciting daytime action as well. Conclusion This week’s Fort Lauderdale fishing report for the Marlin My Darlin fleet looks excellent. The weather forecast is favorable with no hurricanes in sight, and as we emerge from lobster mini-season, fishing typically stays strong through October. If you’re in the area, book a trip and get out on the water. For reservations, please call our landline. Marlin My Darlin Phone: **hidden content** Website: **hidden content**

July 4 2026 Fishing

Juli 9, 2026 • Fort Lauderdale
Fort Lauderdale Charter Fishing Report – Week of 7/4/26 Marlin My Darlin Sportfish Fleet Overview The South Florida charter fishing scene is strong across the board. Over the last week to 10 days, wahoo have been roaring along the reef, delivering both big trophies and plenty of consistent action. Trolling has been a standout technique, with sea grass conditions allowing for productive battles most days. We’re also seeing solid activity from mahi-mahi, blackfin tuna, kingfish, mackerel, sailfish, and other top-class gamefish, making for exciting all-around inshore and offshore action. Wahoo - The wahoo bite has been phenomenal along the reef. We’ve landed multiple big fish, with a healthy mix of smaller 20–30 lb specimens. - In addition to wahoo, expect strong trolling opportunities across the charter fleet. Sea grass has been a common factor this season, but when conditions allow, we’ve found excellent trolling results. Mahi-Mahi - Offshore mahi-mahi fishing is becoming more consistent. Large weed patches are prevalent, and while one in ten patches holds some action, the bite can be productive when you locate the right pockets. - The mahi population is developing nicely for the early part of summer. Expect fair to good catches on reliable offshore trips. Shark Fishing - Shark fishing has been outstanding, with big hammerheads, bull sharks, lemon sharks, and even a few threshers showing up in recent weeks. - Summer is a peak time to chase trophy sharks, and many trips report heavy pulls and exciting runs that make for memorable escapades on the water. Bottom Fishing - Snapper and grouper activity on the bottom has been a touch light lately, particularly on daytime trips. - Night fishing has been especially strong, with deep-water snappers like yellowtails, blackfin snapper, and even American red snapper appearing on the bite. Swordfish - Swordfish fishing at night remains excellent. Daytime efforts have been slower, but nighttime anglers report consistent catches ranging from 50 to 250 pounds. - South Florida remains one of the premier year-round swordfishing destinations, drawing anglers from around the world to chase these elusive giants. Conclusion South Florida charter fishing remains very strong and one of the best times of the year to get out on the water with family, friends, or colleagues. We’ve seen consistent fishing with plenty of action and a good number of fish to take home for dinner on recent trips. Reservations Book your next fishing adventure with Marlin My Darlin. Marlin My Darlin charter fishing report

Juni 16, 2026 • Fort Lauderdale
Fort Lauderdale Fishing Report – June 16, 2026 Fort Lauderdale Charter, Fishing Report Overview Over the last 10 days, fishing has been consistently good. Most boats report catches of mahi-mahi, blackfin tuna, tuna, wahoo, kingfish, bonita, and even a few late-season sailfish still around. We’ve also seen several larger sharks in the area over the past couple of weeks, including a few big hammerheads. Looking ahead, the forecast for the next couple of weeks is excellent, and fishing should improve as we move deeper into summer. Reef Trolling Reef trolling has been absolutely fantastic. Expect steady catches of blackfin tuna, wahoo, bonita, kingfish, and mahi-mahi. This has been the most reliable fishing pattern throughout the summer and has continued to deliver strong results. Shark Fishing Shark fishing has been outstanding over the last couple of weeks, with many bigger hammerheads reported, along with lemon sharks, sandbar sharks, reef sharks, and even a big tiger shark this week. Summer shark fishing is typically strong and should stay productive through October. Mahi Mahi (Mahi Mahi Offshore) Offshore mahi fishing has been a mix of good and challenging days. Some boats are loading up with large numbers of smaller school-size fish, while others have had more limited success. Expect this fishery to become more consistent as summer progresses, with the peak typically arriving in September. Bottom Fishing Bottom fishing has been steady to light the last couple of weeks. Most boats are catching consistent numbers of smaller snappers and amberjacks, with occasional groupers mixed in. Bottom fishing remains a reliable, crowd-pleasing option throughout the summer and into fall. Conclusion Overall, the official Fort Lauderdale fishing report is positive and should continue to improve as the season progresses. June report

Juni 9, 2026 • Fort Lauderdale
Fort Lauderdale Fishing Report – June 9 Over the past couple of weeks we’ve hosted several large corporate events and bachelor parties, plus a few birthdays. Every charter has been memorable, with guests leaving raving about the experience. The seagrass has been tougher this year, making for some challenging fishing conditions, but the bite is very much alive. Target species and bite notes - Mahi-mahi, blackfin tuna, tuna, snapper, grouper, sharks, and sailfish are all actively chewing. As we head from May into June, summertime fishing is in full swing. Trolling - Reef trolling has been excellent when we can find clean water away from the seagrass. Expect mahi-mahi, kingfish, blackfin tuna, and the occasional wahoo. Depths of 100 to 400 feet have produced the best action recently. Bottom fishing - With grouper season open, bottom fishing has been outstanding. We’ve seen sizable gag and black grouper grabs in the last several days. The June full moon typically brings a strong mutton snapper bite as well. This is a prime time for bottom fishing trips. Kite fishing - Kite fishing has been slower due to heavy seagrass and dense seaweed plumes, which makes live-bait presentation tricky. Once we find clean water, kite fishing pays off with big-game targets like sailfish, hammerheads, sharks, mahi-mahi, and even wahoo. Offshore mahi - Northshore mahi fishing has been red-hot over the last two weeks. The seagrass has pushed schools into bigger groups and brought in some larger fish, with several 20–25 pound mahi reported. Offshore patches of seaweed and debris remain productive for big mahi and active schools. Conclusion June is shaping up to be a fantastic month as school winds down and we head into peak summer fishing. We’re excited to welcome new friends and returning guests for family charters, corporate events, and birthday celebrations at Marlin My Darlin. If you’re looking to book, we’re happy to accommodate you in any way possible. Contact Marlin My Darlin Phone: **hidden content** Website: **hidden content**

February 1, 2026 charter report

Feb. 2, 2026 • Fort Lauderdale
Fort Lauderdale Fishing Report: January 26, 2023 – Aboard the Marlin My Darlin Over the past few weeks, Fort Lauderdale has experienced some chilly weather, which has led to exceptional sailfish fishing! January is proving to be one of the best months for targeting sailfish, along with blackfin tuna, mahi-mahi, wahoo, snappers, and grouper. Overall, fishing conditions have been consistently fruitful here in South Florida. #### Kite Fishing: A Winter Favorite Our kite fishing technique has been outstanding lately. This method is particularly effective during the winter months, as it allows us to target large trophy sailfish along with a variety of other species as bycatch. The excitement of not knowing what will bite next makes kite fishing an exhilarating experience. #### Reef Trolling: A Steady Bite Reef trolling has yielded decent results over the last month, with several large wahoo catches reported. The blackfin tuna bite has been especially strong in the late afternoons and is expected to remain consistent through June. This technique not only provides steady action but also ensures a reliable supply of fish for our customers. #### Bottom Fishing: Hot Action Before the Cold Front Just before the recent cold front, bottom fishing was incredibly productive, with local boats reporting excellent catches of snappers, amberjack, and even a few shallow-water groupers. Snappers are a crowd favorite among our clients, and many love to take them home for a delicious dinner. #### Offshore Mahi: Slow but Steady On the offshore front, mahi-mahi fishing has been slower than usual. Most boats venturing into these waters have either caught undersized mahi or faced complete skunks. Historically, offshore fishing picks up around March and continues through October, offering much better opportunities during the summer months. ### Looking Ahead As we move into the next few months, fishing in South Florida is expected to improve. We eagerly anticipate the late-season cold fronts that will further enhance our fishing conditions. Stay tuned for more updates from aboard the Marlin My Darlin Sportfishing Charters.
