- Worked on 2 Charter Boats as 1st Mate for over 10 years and over 1,200 trips
- Knows where to find and catch the fish that visit the Chesapeake Bay according to the time of year.
- Has the experience and knowledge of where and how to catch fish offshore. Basically the techniques and strategies are very similar to how you fish the Chesapeake Bay but requires equipment designed to withstand the fight of big game fish.
- Accumulated over 55 years of experience on the water gives you the best chance to have a successful day on the water.

He’s incredibly personable and willing to give advice and tips to the greenest of fishermen and veterans alike. Fish wise, we had an off day, but as my son put it “we got some fish in the boat and had a great time making memories, it’s a win!” Couldn’t say it any better. We will be on Captain Murray’s Cobia 280 again for sure!

The good news is the Bay is a fascinating body of water to explore. There are plenty of stories to share that are tied to the remote areas and the families that inhabit them.
