Our Favorite Type of Trip
While every trip is special, we love light tackle inshore fishing, where we can put our custom rods and lures to the test against redfish, speckled trout, and flounder in shallow waters. The challenge of stalking fish in the flats, paired with the explosive strikes, makes for an exciting experience every time!
For those who love offshore action, trolling for kingfish and snapper is another favorite—especially when customers land their first big fish!
Our Best-Ever Catch
We've had some incredible moments on the water, but one of our most memorable catches was a monster bull redfish, caught using one of our own Tubeys custom rods. Watching an angler fight a trophy fish on a rod we built from scratch is an unbeatable feeling!

Flunderzeit! Die Fische verstecken sich um Seegrasfelder und in der Nähe von Meeresarmen. Es gibt auch Tarpons, Snooks, Redfish und Forellen in der Gegend. Wenn das Wetter es zulässt, sind Snapper in Staatsgewässern eine große Sache.

Fishing right now is flat-out on fire across the Lower Laguna Madre from South Padre to Arroyo City.
We’re seeing consistent action on both redfish and trout, with a strong mix of slot fish and oversize reds showing up daily. This isn’t a grind—this is pull-up-and-get-right kind of fishing.
? What’s Going Down
Redfish bite is excellent, especially on the shallow grass flats and potholes
Trout are stacked up and healthy, with solid keeper and oversized fish mixed in
Spring conditions have fish actively feeding and pushing bait, making it a prime window
⏰ Best Time to Fish
Early bite is decent, but the mid-morning window is where it’s getting stupid good
Once the sun gets up and warms things slightly, fish are sliding shallow and feeding hard
? What’s Working
Soft plastics (especially paddle tails) are getting it done consistently
Natural presentations around grass lines and potholes
If you’re not throwing something like a purple slammer style bait… you’re missing fish
If you’re on the fish, it’s not a question of if—it’s how many.
Limits are happening, and those oversized reds are showing up enough to keep things interesting.
