Trout fishing has been excellent , with many fish coming over fifteen pounds. We are also finding some nice steelhead and occasional king in the area.

Fishing out of the port of Charlevoix has moved to the shallow Waters for king salmon. On Lake Michigan they are being caught in front of the Medusa cement plant in 10 to 30 FOW and on the drop off at 90 ft using J plugs, j-13 in the fire tiger colors and still on Geen or White flasher with a Green KRW Fly in the deeper water. On Lake Charlevoix they have been fishing around the Coast Guard Station also using J plugs and spoons. Farther down Lake Charlevoix towards Boyne City they are fishing the holes in front of whiting's Park and Summercrest 70 to 80 ft dodown oer about a hundred feet of water. Lake Trout Fishing have Been Great with larger size fish(12-20#) as long as weather holds. The perch are starting to show up around the area hoping you have a good season
