May redfish
Mai 18, 2026
The ocean was still pretty snotty today, so we decided to stay around the inlet and chase some redfish — and they did not disappoint. ?? Mr. Trip’s arms were absolutely slap wore out after a half day of nonstop redfish action. The bite stayed hot all trip long and made for one heck of a day on the water around Amelia Island. #Redfish #AmeliaIslandFishing #JacksonvilleFishing #InshoreFishing #BigFinCharters #FloridaFishing #RedfishAction #FishingCharters #SaltwaterFishing #CatchAndRelease #NortheastFloridaFishing

May offshore
Mai 18, 2026
The offshore bite has been on fire lately, with very good action on both cobia and red snapper! We’re also putting together a great mixed bag of black sea bass and vermilion snapper on most trips. Red snapper season is right around the corner — running May 22nd through June 20th — and dates are filling fast. Don’t wait to book your trip and get in on some of the best offshore fishing of the year!

Spring fishing
März 25, 2026
Big Fin Charters Fishing Report – Amelia Island Fishing around Amelia Island has been very productive, with spring patterns continuing to improve across both inshore and offshore waters. Inshore Report: Black drum fishing at the jetties is in full swing. Fish are schooled up along the rocks, and anglers can expect steady action with quality-sized drum being caught consistently. These fish are providing great fights and have been a reliable target on most trips. In addition to the drum bite, redfish action has been strong on our inshore trips. We are finding redfish staged along the jetties and in nearby backwater areas, with good numbers being caught. This is a great time of year for anglers looking to target multiple species in a single trip. Offshore Report: Sheepshead fishing offshore has been very productive. We are targeting structure and artificial reefs where fish are holding in solid numbers. The bite has been consistent, and anglers are having success putting together good catches. Overall, fishing conditions are lining up well, and the bite should continue to improve as we move further into the season. Now is an excellent time to get on the water and take advantage of the current action. Book your trip with Big Fin Charters and experience some of the best spring fishing Amelia Island has to offer.
