Excellent day despite the fact that we are at the end of the season we had 2 sailing fish in line and other species

Double Striped Marlin Release – Excellent Billfish Action (August 27) Description On August 27, ADRENALINA 1 departed Cabo San Lucas at 7:00 AM for an 8-hour fishing charter, returning at 3:00 PM. We had two anglers and three crew members aboard and headed east in search of offshore action. At approximately 3 miles off Pedregal, we deployed a complete trolling spread consisting of four artificial lures—a Guacamayo, purple lure, pink lure, and the always-productive Petrolero—along with four natural baits: two ballyhoo, one jurel (jack), and one caballito. We also ran two teasers/spreader bars to attract billfish into the spread. While fishing near Cerros de Arena, we spotted a striped marlin cruising on the surface. The crew immediately began presenting natural baits to the fish until it finally committed. The marlin attacked the caballito, producing a solid hookup. At the same time, a second striped marlin appeared behind another bait, giving us the possibility of a double hookup. The second fish followed the presentation but refused to bite. After an exciting fight, we successfully brought the first striped marlin alongside ADRENALINA 1 and completed a safe release. We continued trolling, and the action remained steady. A wahoo attacked one of our natural baits but unfortunately failed to stay connected. Working parallel to the coastline through the Margarita and Los Arcos areas, we then had a mahi mahi (dorado) strike the spread. The fish hooked up briefly but managed to throw the hook during the fight. Later, we spotted another striped marlin on the surface. Once again, the crew quickly switched to sight-casting/pitching a caballito directly to the fish. This marlin committed to the bait, and after another exciting battle, we successfully brought it alongside the boat and released our second striped marlin of the day. We returned to Cabo San Lucas Marina at 3:00 PM after eight hours of excellent offshore action. Marlin & Sailfish Double Release – Pacific Billfish Action (August 26) Description On August 26, ADRENALINA 1 headed to the Pacific side for an 8-hour offshore fishing trip, and it didn’t take long to find quality billfish action. While passing approximately 3 miles offshore from Barco Perdido, a striped marlin appeared behind our spread and began tracking a pink spread-bar teaser. The crew immediately switched the fish over to a Google Eye rigger bait. The marlin committed, took the bait, and after an exciting fight was successfully brought alongside the boat and released in excellent condition. We continued trolling along the Pacific coastline, and while fishing off El Suspiro, another billfish entered the spread. This time, a sailfish attacked the Google Eye rigger bait. After another exciting battle, we successfully brought the fish to the boat and completed our second successful release of the day. We continued working the Pacific side all the way toward San Cristóbal, where we turned around and began our return to Cabo San Lucas. The action wasn’t over. On the way back, while passing Los Arcos, another sailfish attacked the dead Google Eye rigger bait. The fish stayed connected for approximately five minutes, putting on an exciting fight before managing to throw the hook and escape. We returned to Cabo San Lucas Marina at approximately 2:10 PM, wrapping up an excellent eight-hour billfish adventure. Double Marlin Hookup, Wahoo & Mahi Mahi – Incredible Offshore Action (August 25) Description On August 25, ADRENALINA 2.0, captained by Rubén López with mate Luisito, departed Cabo San Lucas at 7:10 AM with five anglers for an offshore fishing adventure. We initially headed on a 210° course, beginning our troll approximately 2 miles off Divorce Beach. Our spread included five trolling lures—Flying Fish, Guacamayo, Chihuili, Tigrillo and Petrolero—along with two dead caballito baits in the long and short positions and a Rapala. At approximately 5 miles offshore, we turned north toward Los Arcos. As we passed the Bombas area, a wahoo hammered the Rapala. After a fast and exciting fight, we successfully brought the fish aboard. Only about half a mile later, a striped marlin attacked the long dead caballito. We fought the fish for approximately 10 minutes, but after an impressive series of jumps, the marlin managed to throw the hook. We continued searching closer to shore, changing lures and adjusting the spread. There was plenty of bird and bait activity, but the fish remained selective. After reaching the Margaritas area, we made a roughly 200° turn and moved farther offshore. A mahi mahi soon appeared and played with the short caballito without fully committing. About 15 minutes later, another striped marlin showed behind one of the trolling lures but refused to strike. We changed course once again toward Los Arcos, this time working closer to shore. While passing Casita Blanca, a mahi mahi (dorado) attacked the long caballito. This time we achieved a solid hookup and successfully landed the fish. Then came the highlight of the day. While trolling approximately 1 mile off the beach, a striped marlin attacked the Guacamayo lure and hooked up. As the crew began clearing the remaining lines, Captain Rubén spotted another striped marlin following the teaser. Luisito immediately presented a bait to the second fish while another bait was positioned from the boat. The marlin committed, producing an incredible double striped marlin hookup. We quickly worked the first fish toward the boat. Once the leader was reached, the marlin jumped and threw the hooks, completing a successful leader release. Attention immediately shifted to the second fish, which was still putting tremendous pressure on the tackle. After approximately 45 minutes of fighting, we successfully brought the second striped marlin to the boat for photos. At around 12:40 PM, we began heading back toward Cabo while continuing to troll with four lures and one natural bait. Even then, the action wasn’t finished. Approximately 1 mile offshore near the Lighthouse, another striped marlin appeared behind the long Petrolero lure. Luisito quickly pitched a dead bait to the fish, which attacked the presentation but unfortunately failed to hook up. We returned to Cabo San Lucas Marina at approximately 2:30 PM, completing an action-packed day aboard ADRENALINA 2.0. Shallow trolling 25 feet we catched 2 nice barracudas and we missed two in the half way ..! It was more action in shallow water
