The freshwater drum fishing has been absolute insanity these last couple weeks with fish pushing over 20lbs on light tackle rods makes for a thrilling fight. Pound for pound these drum are some of the hardest fighting fish in the lake. The lake trout jigging has slowed to a halt as the lake recovers from the massive flooding on july 10th but the bite will return as the lake settles

Thorny's Salmon and Trout Trip

July can be super hot. Our fishing day was in the low 90s and therefore a little challenging in terms of keeping children cool. Looking forward to going out again in the fall and/or spring.
