“That almost pulled me in”

Awesome day making some family memories with this crew from Texas. This young man started the day off with his 1st ever redfish, Dad didn’t let him have the spotlight for long and fired right back with a beautiful upper slot fish and a new PB. Back at the dock before lunch and off to enjoy some fresh fish and explore what else Crystal River has to offer

The early bird gets the worm! That is the trend this time of year targeting mullet schools on a early morning incoming tide has been the combination to success as of late. The early morning lower water temps have the fish biting before the heat of the day sets in and seems to shut the bite off in the afternoon.

Had a great day today “grocery shopping” for a fish fry. We stryws our day with low water so we went to the rocks to pick up some good fish to fry up then worked our way in with the tide and got on a school of redfish and was able to land her first keeper redfish , not the biggest but for a first a keeper is a keeper. We had a great day and accomplished the mission of “bringing home the groceries”’
