Slower Day but Good Eating Fish

First time out fishing the gulf she caught her very first grouper. Normal pick this morning We are catching and seeing large schools of spanish mackerel just as we get out into the gulf adding one more types of fish for box. Nice way to start out in our way to the reefs. Catch and release for gag grouper is still going on. I woukd think that with the water cooling down its only going to get better. Also from the amount of bait im seeing the king fish should be showing up very soon. It looked like we had one on the other day but it got off to far out to make a sure it was a king fish or very large spanish. Looks like the weathers going to keep us in for a few days however monday we should be back out. Next two fridays we have a open boat shared trip from 8 to 4. Better chance at taking home a red grouper or hogfish !! Thanks for looking !

Tuesdays half day was one of the best. From the start the fish were ready to eat and chewed on every stop ! Lots of gag and red grouper along with a pile of white grunts came over rhe rail !! Gag grouoer season closes on October 1 however catch and release will keep going. The gags are still headed in to shallow water for the winter so i would think its only going to get better !! Nows the time to come out and try your luck at these hard pulling fish. Many other fish are coming over the rail so most parties will have fish to eat !!

1/2 day produced a mix bag today. Hog fish jim was back at it again landing this nice gag !! Lots of white grunts again today. Lasr two trips the fish won the tug of war with us breaking off in the ledges. Including one beast that i hooked up today. I guess the fish need to win evey now and then.
