Chinook fishery was a blast!

Coho salmon have flooded the sound this past week. The bite is strong and should remain solid well into October! Mornings are on fire while afternoons are more work.

The Coho are in the Sound! Mornings are most productive but afternoons can also produce. Should be strong action through mid October!

Everyone with a boat was chasing Hatchery Chinook Salmon the past few weeks! We had strong success most days and on other days we released some beautiful wild Chinook salmon. The fishery is managed on a quota which means at some point the state will close the retention of these prized Chinook salmon. We will still find them while fishing for Coho salmon, but they must be released. The fishing this year was extremely crowded as only one marine area was open at a time. Combat fishing but still a great time. The crowds will thin out but the catch and release fishing will remain strong
