Took my son in law and 2 grandsons out on Lake Michigan for the first time and had a good time. Even though we only caught one King Salmon, Captain Rocky took us over the fish, but they just wouldn't bite. I would definitely go back out with him and Shane!
Chartered the boat for 5 hours. Before we left Boat Cpt Rocky reached out and said if you want to catch fish we need to leave earlier. so we changed out departure time and it maid all the difference. We caught the morning bite and it was great! we put 9 fish in the boat. We certianly had out chance at limiting out, but thats why they call it fishing and not gathering. we had a great time.
We caught 13 fish, mainly king salmon. This was on an evening trip with the sunset as a backdrop to our prized fish pictures. Rocky is very adept at fishing and a true multi-tasker as several times we had 2 fish on the lines at once. More information on what sort of fishing this is would have been helpful—that we don’t cast or hold the rods until fish are on the line. Also clean towels to wipe off hands from holding fish would have been nice. We all had a good time. (Still waiting on group photos from Brittany.)

We put 12 in the box, lost 6, and ended up with some really nice cohos, a rainbow, several big browns and several good eating size kings! Thank you Rocky and Chris for a wonderful trip. See you again!
was a wonderful family, fun trip. fishng ws slow, but Captain Rocky helped us find some nice salmon and a big trout, He was wonderful with the7 yr old boy who was with us. He also helped our mama to be with some lavender oil to help with her sea sickness. couldn't have asked for a better trip. thanks Catain Ron! we will be scheduling again next year.
The weather was definitely going to be bad, but WE chose to still go out. We had wind, big waves, rain and lightning as expected. We knew that was a probability. We still caught 6 fish and lost one big one who broke the hook at the end of our trip. Rocky was a fun interesting and amiable captain.
