We caught just a few fish and it wasn’t from lack of effort. There were not many other boaters out when we went. we had a great time and good conversation while waiting on the bite. Captain Joe is full of knowledge on these waters and others. I’ll be back fishing with him again.
Joe was very friendly and was great with our 4 boys ranging in age from 4-10. We were looking for something that was on the shorter side and on the bogue side of the island (we weren’t sure stomachs could handle rough water) and this was perfect for that. We saw dolphins and he got us pretty close to watch them for a few minutes before continuing on to fish. Joe was very down to earth and moved us a few different locations to try and get us catching fish. We would definitely recommend for a family outing.
We opted for the 2 hr trip because of the kids. Took my dad and my 9 and 11 year old boys. Capt. Joe was very patient abd great with the kids. The bite wasnt great but Capt. Joe dud his best to put us on fish. caught a mixed bag of pin fish, vlsck sea bass, puffers and Sheepshead. my 9 year old was thrilled with the 5 lb Sheepshead he caught. He cant stop talking about it. We will be back.
Let me just start out saying, if I could give more than five stars I would! Big Joe was truly amazing. Both my son and I are experienced outdoors people. Big Joe has his PhD in fishing, we both got an incredible education with him. Not only was he professional, knowledgeable but extremely personable! We will definitely go fishing with him again!
good trip, do it again. a few fish, they had sore lips or were bashful, day after labor day🤣. could have been our being inexperienced! hope to try again . joe did his best to get us on fish
Beat fishing trip ever! started off slow as nothing was biting, but Cpt Joe didnt give up and found us a few new places. In the end, we caught 9 sharks total and it was the best experience ever! 5 stars to Joe and overall experience as a whole! We will be back and will only request him. Thanks again!!
