At $500 per couple this half day fishing trip started at 11:00 am in Blistering Darwin sun No overhead canopy. Two seats for four passengers. No life jackets or discussion about safety. Bone shattering speed across Darwin’s enormous Harbour. No live bait, only lures. Refreshment were cold soft drinks and small cheap packet type chips. Prior texts and emails made reference to the expectation of “tips”.Two passengers were ladies but there was never any mention of toilet stops during the half day fishing trip. The four paying passengers caught three undersized fish between them, none were barramundi And I was asked for a recommendartion ?? Kevin
Hi Kevin, We have sent you a liability form for you to read and sign before the tour, about the tour condition and what to expect during the tour. This indicates that you are boarding a 6.1-meter charter fishing vessel to fish in open water, this can be water spray, and other weather conditions, motion sickness, pitching and rolling, slippery and wet decks and surfaces. But also make you aware of Sun exposure and what to wear during the trip for sun protection. We precise you also that no toilet is onboard, and no stop or landing are allowed or covered by insurance during the 4hrs trip. We precise you that life jackets are not compulsory to wear in Northern Territory but can be request to the captain and also precise that a canopy can be installed after request of any passenger to the captain. This Form also request your medical conditions or disabilities so we can further assist or maybe not recommend our tour for certain cases. The boat has four seats, two in the front and two next to the captain. To finish, you forgot to mention in your review that captain caught a barramundi for you and show you how and exactly where to cast to catch them. But I believe that a negative attitude cannot help to have a better trip. If any of your complain has been told directly to the captain during the tour, I am sure that he would do anything to make you happy and rectified the situation.
