Citation-worthy fish on an off day!

I was worried about catching anything because the date we had available wasn’t looking too hot taking in the tide data, time of the charter (morning), weather (hot and muggy), moon and sun positioning, etc. all signals pointed to a nice day on the water with friends and no fish. Man was I excited when Alex got us hooked into VA citation-worthy sheephead! We got 2 citation worthy fish (over 10.5 lbs) and one additional fish 2 oz under. We also played catch and release with rockfish. Alex knows his way around the Bay. Trust him and he will get you to where the fish are biting! My family and I are still eating the massive fillets. I can’t wait to book Alex in October for some stripers we can keep!

    Not a lot of fish today, but a great experience!

    I had a great time fishing on Saturday. It was a slow day and we caught some stripers and some HUGE oyster toadfish. We were targeting sheepshead, black drum, and red drum, and as a fisherman that targets those species- the captain chose the right spots to catch them. He also used the fish finder to locate the fish, and used the right baits to catch them. The fish just werent in the mood to eat, something I found on a cobia charter the previous day with another captain. But thats why its fishing and not catching. I really enjoyed the trip despite the slower fishing, so much so that Im going to do it again. The captain was nice, the equipment and boat were well maintained, and it was a really nice day fishing out on the water. I stayed in Deltaville which is a nice quiet location. I strongly recommend you try this charter. Im quite sure that when the fish are biting you're going to catch a lot!

    Striped Bass - Fast Boat

    Alexander is an excellent fisherman and an all around great guy! After five hours of fishing, he was still fast around the boat baiting hooks and taking care of his guest.

    Had a great afternoon trip with Capt. Alexander. He worked hard to put us on the fish. My 8 year old had a blast reeling in a bunch of big rockfish!

    If you're looking for the perfect fishing adventure, look no further than Captain Alex! From the moment we stepped onto the boat, we knew we were in good hands. Captain Alex is not only a seasoned pro with an incredible knowledge of the local waters, but he’s also got a contagious enthusiasm that makes the entire experience enjoyable. The boat was immaculate, and Captain Alex went above and beyond to ensure our success throughout the day. He was incredibly patient, even when we got snagged a few times, answered all of our questions, and gave us tips to improve our fishing technique. His expertise was helpful, he quickly found the perfect fishing spots, and we didn’t go long without reeling in some great catches of black drum and stripers. What really stood out, though, was how much he genuinely cared about making the trip successful. And it wasn’t just about the fishing. He made sure we were enjoying ourselves and shared some of his personal fishing stories (and baseball stories!) By the end of the trip, we had caught plenty of nice size fish, enough for quite a few meals, but it was Captain Alex's professionalism, friendly attitude, and deep love for what he does that truly made this experience special and one we’ll do again. If you're in the area and want a fishing trip you’ll never forget, Captain Alex is your guy! Highly recommend!

    Fantastic Afternoon on the Water with Alexander!

    Alexander was an amazing captain and guide. Our group had a great time from start to finish. He was patient, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about fishing. We felt comfortable right away and learned a lot while enjoying the day. Highly recommend booking with him for a memorable trip!
