Great trip with Captain Paul and Steve. They found the fish and made the day so enjoyable. This is our second trip and look forward to our next outing.
I have been fishing in the OBX for years and after the last few years I made it a point to find a new captain. I explicitly stated I did not want to come back with nothing but blue fish. Obviously there is no way to just catch one type of fish in the ocean and Paul let helped give other suggestions like offshore and wreckage trips. However, we were more keen to stay inshore on this trip. All in all we caught 4 blues and the others were spanish mackerel (what I was looking for). I am not sure if we just got lucky or this was due in part to captain Paul knowing the area so well. Either way I couldn’t have been happier with our trip and would recommend him to others! Little Paul was great too! Oneal’s was also fantastic for fresh fish we did not catch and wanted.
Thank you Dan, you guy's were a pleasure to have fishing with us, and even though we didn't kill it, it was a great time! As far as my strategy, you told me multiple times that you didn't want Bluefish, so yes, it was my plan to do what I did, I just wish it was a little better than what it was, but I definitely wasn't disappointed in our catch, it was definitely pretty good for what the morning was. Both Captain Paul and First Mate Paul were friendly and accommodating. Captain Paul was communicative before the trip and the first mate was a wealth of knowledge during. Great trip for beginners. At some times we had all four fishing poles with catch on them. Wear sunscreen and comfy clothes. Flip flops were fine. We caught blue fish and spanish mackerel.

We recently went on a fishing trip and had an amazing experience! Our captain was incredibly knowledgeable, knowing exactly where to take us so the fish were biting. We caught plenty and had a great time from start to finish. One thing that really stood out was how considerate the captain was, especially since we had a young child with us. He made sure to keep things safe and fun for everyone, even taking a moment to stop and give our little one the chance to pull in his own fish — which absolutely made his day! Between the great fishing, the captain’s expertise, and the thoughtful touches that made the trip enjoyable for all ages, we couldn’t have asked for a better day on the water. Highly recommend!
Thank you very much, we take a lot of pride in what we do. We love to have all kinds of groups on the boat, from experienced to beginners, and everything in between, but our favorite is children! My boy's were very young when I introduced them to fishing, and now one of them (Paul) is my mate, and works very hard to make sure everyone is included and has a great time. Once again, they listened to what I was interested in catching and then worked really hard to make it happen. They tried different places, rigs, etc., and not only did I have a blast, but I have a bunch of fish for the freezer. Besides all that, the boat is comfortable, and this father-son team are both so nice, respectful, and hard working.
