Bluefin Tuna trip w/ Daron and Skylar
We went on a full day trip with Capt. Daron and his deckhand Skylar. It was absolutely the best trip with a fishing guide I’ve ever experienced!! Daron and Skylar were stand up guys. They were by far the friendliest and most personable crew I’ve ever had the pleasure of sharing a boat with. The opportunity to try out this fishery and observe the abundance of sea life alone was definitely worth the trip. We got to watch seals swim next to the boat, herds of 100’s if not 1000’s of dolphins traveling on the surface, whales coming in close to check out the boat, and literal miles of tuna. There was a point in the trip where Daron parked us in an area where there were tuna surface feeding as far as you could see in any direction. It was no accident either. Daron and Skylar work their hardest to put you where the tuna are. They are constantly moving, navigating all the grounds until they find tuna that are ready to play. They are bar none the hardest working guys I’ve ever seen on a boat. They were just as excited if not more excited than us to get hooked up and more excited to see a fish on the deck. I couldn’t recommend them enough. We will surely be going back to Southern CA and will most definitely be using Daron and Skylar again. If there was a 10 star option, I would’ve chosen that.
