Captain John and Chris were awesome! We have been on a lot of charters and this was another successful trip! The night before our first scheduled trip Capt John called us and warned that they were expecting 4-5 ft waves on Lake Michigan the next morning. He gave us the option of rescheduling which we appreciated. The rescheduling process was easy through FishingBooker. The afternoon of our trip we were expecting to go into Lake Michigan to fish, but the lake temp had flipped and Capt Johnny knew that the fish were actually moving into Muskegon lake so that’s where we went. We got three ~20 lb kings and two smaller ones. Had lots of fun pulling in those monsters. When we got back they cleaned our fish while we went next door and had dinner at the brewery at the marina. After dinner we picked up our fish and they had even left us a bag of ice which saved us a trip to the gas station at 9pm! We will book with them again.

    Spectacular trip with a fantastic crew!

    Being our first charter trip on the big lake, we weren't certain what to expect, and Captain John and his first mate exceeded all expectations! The boat was clean and open with plenty of seating and room to move around. The equipment was top notch and the crew were extremely skilled and efficient in explaining the processes and assisting with the catch. We caught a King Salmon, 2 Coho and 5 Steelhead - expertly cleaned and bagged by the crew when we arrived back at the dock. 20lbs of delicious salmon for the freezer, plus some amazing memories and good fun in the process. They were especially considerate and kind with me when I struggled with motion sickness due to the waves and my own proclivity for it, providing help and being extremely considerate. Delightful conversation as well, very pleasant to spend an afternoon with! It was my birthday and Captain John gave me a small gift which was unexpected and extremely thoughtful. 10 out of 10 would recommend this charter both for the fantastic crew and the highly successful catch!

    We filled our coolers!

    Captain John put us on fish right away and kept the action going for the entire trip. First mate Chris did an excellent job keeping all lines in the water and kept them from getting tangled when we had doubles on. We landed doubles three times. We brought home over fifty pounds of Salmon fillets which is exactly what we had hoped to catch. Highly recommend JRB Charter!

    Captain John and his First Mate made this an unforgettable day on Lake Michigan! They were incredible with the kids, making them feel involved and excited from start to finish. We caught some absolutely huge salmon, and the action was nonstop. Their knowledge, professionalism, and great personalities made the entire experience epic.     best trip you could ask for!

    The only way to describe this fishing trip was purely awesome from the beginning to the end. The captain and Chris made us super comfortable throughout the whole trip. We didnt have a lot of fishing experience and they explained everything very clearly and had lots of patience with us. We caught 9 huge king salmon which was amazing. Don’t think twice about booking, just do it you won’t regret it!!!

    Great Kickoff to a weekend.

    This is a great fishing charter. we caught 5 king salmon and hooked a few more. The captain and crew were great, a lo of fun, and told some great stories. I would highly recommend this charter.
