The bite was particularly poor on the day of October 10 2024. Out of all the other boats only a handful were caught. I did catch a native coho and had to release due to day of the week regulations. Still I had a great trip. Thanks and I'll try again next time.

Thanks again Joe. Glad you were able to get a nice Coho to the boat and go home with a nice limit of Dungeness crab! Yes maybe next time!

    Bucket list experience

    The day was wonderful. We caught several Coho salmon, but they were all released. Our boat had one King caught and one harvested. There were plenty conversations, some humor, and a shared joy whenever there was a fish on.

    Thank again. Glad you were able to reel a few Coho to the boat. Lots of chaos with those huge Coho !

    It was an OK trip

    First off, the boat was really amazing, and our captain drove it well. The fishing rods were super well organized and set up. The poles worked great. We caught three fish and paid an extra 50 bucks for crabbing, where we harvested 8 crabs; that was all of the fun. The Captain was about as fun as shingles. He texted me around 7 am, wondering why I wasn't there yet. The website clearly said 8 am. Apparently, he tried to message me the night before to change the time, but messaged someone else, so we started the trip off thinking we were late, when we weren't. I thought maybe the captain would be a little apologetic, but he was not. He grouched at us several times when we broke his uncommunicated rules, and told us several stories of his crappy customers who were a pain in the ass. We had a nice long conversation about seasickness, which just about put one of our group over the edge. Just not a great experience. If we hadn't caught a couple of fish right at the end of the trip, I would have given this 2 stars instead. Not really happy with the experience for a $500 1/2 day on the ocean.

    Sorry your expectations exceeded a awesome half day trip at Tillamook Bay. Guess I can try to corral more crab in the traps & fish to jump in the boat. Your group also benefited with over a extra hour on me. Thanks for the trip.

    Awesome Fishing Day!

    We caught 3 nice fish on our half day trip. When we got off the water at noon fish and game said only 5 fish had come off the water that day so far, and 3 were from our boat. Ask about crab pots too! Thanks Herman!

    Fishing charter

    Went out with Captain Herman. Had a great time! He was very patient with me as a novice. Boat very clean and comfortable. Equipment in good working order. I highly recommend this charter!
