We had a great time overall and really enjoyed the experience. The weather and rough seas made for a slower ride than expected, so we ended up spending more time traveling than fishing. We understand that’s simply part of offshore fishing and not something anyone can control.

The catch wasn’t what we had hoped for, as we mainly caught red snapper, although they were a good size. We were hoping to target a little more variety, but that’s fishing you never know exactly what the day will bring.

The boat was very comfortable, and the spacious cabin made the longer runs much more enjoyable. There’s definitely a tradeoff between having a larger, more comfortable boat and the speed of getting to the fishing grounds, but we appreciated having a nice place to relax during the ride.

The biggest positive was Captain Jeff. He was outstandingly friendly, knowledgeable, entertaining, and worked hard the entire trip to put us on fish and make sure everyone was having a good time. He was always happy to answer questions, lend a hand, and kept the atmosphere fun from start to finish.

Thanks again, Captain Jeff, for a memorable day on the water. We’d be happy to fish with you again and hope for calmer seas and a few more species next time!

Having worked many as a deckhand, I found this crew to be truly dedicated to lookinf after the folks on board and going above and beyond, compared to other crews I have been around on the Texas coast.  Yes, my standards are high, going back to the way I was raised going by the golden rule, treat people the same way that you would want to be treated.  Being an NCO in the U.S.Army during the Viet Nam Era helps a person to develop higher standards.

We had a great time with captain Matt and first mate Josh. They worked hard for us all day long. Got us on King Mackerel early and then Red Snapper the rest of the day! Oh and some vermillion too. We all limited out on nice size Snapper! Could not have asked for a better day!

Boat was clean. Crew was very helpful. We did catch the fish we wanted. We limited on snapper. Crew went out of their way to put us on fish. I would recommend boat and crew.

We had a great Captain and mate.  They put us on the fish and were very helpful.  I will definitely do this trip again.
