With a late flight back to Michigan, Capt Steve and Colleen couldn’t resist jumping aboard Black’s Pearl for one more offshore run — and what a send-off it was! Tuna are back at the humps and feeding like crazy! We mixed it up with trolling and jigging, and they hit both. Even a mahi wanted in on the fun, smashing an up-jig at 30 feet. The showstopper? Fishing Report – Early May | Marathon, Florida Keys Last week brought incredible offshore action for Black’s Pearl Sportfishing! Despite some choppy conditions, our guests experienced hot bites and heavy coolers. Multiple successful trips targeted Mahi Mahi and Blackfin Tuna, with anglers landing quality fish on the troll and live bait. The weed lines were productive for Mahi, while the humps and deeper offshore spots produced strong Blackfin action. We’re also proud to share that Team Black’s Pearl landed 2nd place in the Marathon Offshore Tournament for Largest Blackfin Tuna with a 17.2 lb hog—hooked during a 5-for-7 run on live bait!
