Fish 101 Belize
We had an amazing time with Capt. Willie!!! Fun fishing , amazing beach BBQ and beautiful snorkeling spot. Would recommend this adventure while in Belize.

Captain Tayo The Epic – San Pedro
We are from Washington State and Montana and tend fish lighter rods. We did not practice our long casrs in 8 to 10 wt rods enough amd struggled for a couple hrs......it was entertaining for the crew. We found our groove and started nailing bonefish. Be ready for lots of tropical sun amd STAY HYDRATED!

Great options and lots to catch. We were originally planning deep se and pivoted to reef fishing due to the rough se beyond the reef. Still had an amazing day and a great catch. The captain new his stuff and made the right recommendation. We had an amazing day.

it was great but don't expect the big marlin or sailfish, much more rare.
These guys do catch them but they are special because they are hard to catch.

Brown or Amber tinted Polarized Sunglasses. Grey and Blue tint not as good. Bring a small assortment of flies and lures. They are expensive and in short supply in San Pedro.

we fished two days, first day out by the reef and caught six different species, an hour ride but you will catch a lot of fish. Second day we chose the mangroves to target snook and tarpon and was equally successful.

spear fishubg was fun but not a lot of opportunities to get fish where we were, especially if not already used to using a spear. I would reccomend focusing your time on fishing wirh lines in the water to catch more.
