Boston boyz rocked it!

We were first ones out and it was a delight to finally see a calmer ocean. We knew it wouldn’t last long so we took advantage of the time landing 3 nice Dorado and a marlin before 0630! It was a great start to the day. The first one is always the hardest one!! We were fortunate to have a good bite close to shore (2-3 miles) as the wind and swell farther out was shredding big time. We followed the ledge inside the Sea of Cortez and rousted up a fat dorado and another marlin release. As the wind angle changed it started to pound us pretty good. We pounded into busting water and were able to go 1 for 3 on the marlin bites and had another release. Then Mother Nature turned on the fan and it was ripping. We trolled closer inshore getting a few more bites and another dorado in the bag! We finished up our day heading back to the Cape taking some big ones over the bow and blowing spray all yhe way up to ghe flybridge. It was nice to finally pull into the calm of the bay. Matthew and the boys did a fantastic job catching a bagfull of nice dorado and getting multiple marlin releases! And yes we do tag and release the marlin as we’re long time members of the Billfish Foundation! Let em go and let em grow! Anyway it was a fab day on the water despite get shalacked and pummeled for awhile! Another great day in San Lucas! Yarrrr! ?‍☠️?‍☠️

As we rounded the corner towards the Pacific side we were greeted by a gourmet sunrise and flat seas. We threw the feathers and ballyhoos in and it wasn’t long before we had smallgame breaking water around us. The reels screamed as the bonitos hit. But here came fat by sea lion to rob us and we only oulled in heads. We turned to leave the ares and bam we were bit. A nice Dorado came in and for some reason the sea lion let us have it. Prolly still chowin the bonitos..So with dinner in the bag we headed offshore and man did it turn on! We ended up 5 for 9 on the Dorado with a couple of nice bulls in there. A nice Mako Shark was a treat too, but we let it go as theyre out of season until the end of July. Todd and the gang had a blast and topped their personal best with the Dorado! So with a nice load onboard we headed back to the marina and were tied up by 10:30. Can’t beat that for a quick halfday! The pristine conditions as well as great people always make for a fab fishing day in Cabo!!

We had a great trip fishing with Ali and the boyz from Denver! We headed into the Sea of Cortez and started inshore with light tackle targeting dorado, rockfish, grouper, and snappers. It was little slow but we riusted up a dorado, 14 triggerfish, and 2 mini groupers which we released. We couldn’t get the rock piles to produce so we headed offshore in the late morning looking for larger spieces . About 4 miles out we started to see bait busting and put in some serious time working the area. We had great results picking up a nice dorado and went 1 for 2 on wahoo which was a nice 55 pounder! As we headed back we decided to run up the edge of the canyon and man did that pay off! We picked up a couple of quality dorado to end the day on a great note! Conditions were pristine with sea temps pudhing 80, calm winds, and flat seas! The boyz took their fish to be processed a will be taking home a load if gourmet filets!! Now that was a productive day!!
