Lingcod May 9, 2025

Picked up two clients at 7:45am Friday, May 9, 2025 at Edmonds Marina (fuel dock). Weather was stellar as you can see in the pics. We went about a mile out where we caught sand dabs for bait, then made the 20 minute trek to Possession Bar at the south end of Whidbey Island. Seas were calm, winds were light, sun was bright. Dropped our lines at 9am, As we waited for the slack tide we watched a pod of whales cruise by, blowing water spouts, breaching and many tail slaps. We had our 3 fish limit in the boat by 10:30am and cruised back to Edmonds, off the water with lingcod filets by 11:30am. Lots of fish available, book now before the short lingcod season ends on June 15th.
