Pescherai su un Sea Hunt Gamefish center console costruito nel 2015 e alimentato da due motori Yamaha a quattro tempi da 150 CV. La barca è perfetta per famiglie e gruppi più numerosi (max. 6 passeggeri) - è lunga 25'6'', larga 9', e può ospitare facilmente fino a 6 pescatori. È confortevole, stabile, affidabile e dotata di un grande T-top e molto spazio per sedersi. L'imbarcazione è equipaggiata con elettronica Garmin di alta qualità e offre anche un bagno completamente funzionante, rendendola molto adatta a bambini e signore.
Le tue guide ti porteranno a pescare nelle acque costiere del Golfo fino a 9 miglia dalla costa. Ti mostreranno una varietà di diverse tecniche di pesca, dalla pesca a fondo per Ricciola, Red Snapper e Gray Triggerfish presso barriere coralline e relitti locali alla traina per Spanish Mackerel e Cavalla, così come molte altre specie. Userai principalmente esche vive, che saranno incluse nel prezzo.
Tutta l'attrezzatura da pesca necessaria, le licenze di pesca e la pulizia e sfilettatura del pescato sono fornite gratuitamente. My 17 year old son and I booked a 5 hour trip. At the top of our wish list was bull redfish, but we also wanted to go after some fish we could eat. Anna was awesome to work with, answering my endless stream of questions cheerfully. We booked a week or two in advance planning to go with Captain Si on the Wasabi boat.
Once we got to Destin I touched base with Anna because the forecast was calling for some storms the morning of our trip. She said the forecast changes rapidly and the trip was still on, though it could be cancelled by the captain at the last minute if the weather was too bad. Anna also informed me at this time that based on our fishing priorities it would be better if we went with Captain Josh on the Reel Lucky boat so we could target bull redfish.
That turned out to be a great decision on their part. After some time spent catching bait (which was actually kind of fun too), we got into some bull redfish and the bite was on! We hooked up on at least 25 fish, most of which we weren't able to get to the boat for various reasons. The primary reason was that the fish were huge! They were all around bridge pilings with lots of steel and concrete structure and would break off if we couldn't get them up off the bottom quick enough. This was our first time catching redfish and Captain Josh was extremely patient and helpful. He worked hard with all the broken lines. Captain Josh called it combat fishing and that's describes it perfectly. This was hands down the most fun (and the most exercise) we've ever had while fishing.
Once the redfish bite slowed down we moved to find some fish we could eat. Bluefish were hitting really well and we caught our limit pretty quickly. That was nonstop action as well. Lots of cast and retrieve, similar to the bass fishing we are used to, but with a lot more bites a better fight!
I can't say enough good things about the entire operation at Destin Inshore Guides. They are all great people to work with, patient, pleasant and helpful. Top notch operation, we will be back!
