Welcome to Florida's West Coast, where Jewel Of The Bay Charters is ready to give you a fun-filled day of fishing the Gulf of Mexico, Tampa Bay, and surrounding waters! Adventure awaits you whether you are a die-hard or a casual angler. You'll be under the guidance of Captain Doug Deming who will share his fishing knowledge and enthusiasm with you.
You can explore all the various fishing locations on his T-Craft bay boat. The boat is 24' and can accommodate groups of up to 6 guests. For your better fishing experience, the vessel is equipped with fish-finding / GPS equipment and a Suzuki 200 HP motor – and for a more stealthy approach, a Minn Kota trolling motor.
Their charters cover inshore, and nearshore locations such as reefs, wrecks, grass flats, and backcountry fisheries. There's action all year round, but not all species are always available. Depending on the season you can catch Snapper, Grouper, Spanish Mackerel, Spotted Seatrout, Snook, Redfish, Flounder, Sheepshead, and Shark. But, when fishing saltwater, you never know what may bite your hook.
The charter will cover your fishing license, and the necessary fishing gear and live bait will be waiting for you on board. You can just bring your refreshments, snacks, and sunscreen. The crew is enthusiastic about teaching children to catch fish, and they'll happily clean and bag your catch.

Captain Doug of Jewel of the Bay Charters delivered an exceptional experience during our spring break trip. From the moment we got on the water, it was clear he not only knows how to find fish, but also genuinely cares about the people he’s guiding. He showed incredible patience and attention with my son, making sure he was engaged, learning, and having a great time throughout the trip. What stood out most was his passion for fishing and his ability to share that enthusiasm in a way that made the day memorable for both of us. We spent a morning fishing with Capt Doug who picked us up at our dock in Anna Maria. We caugh tons of fish and took home several to grill. The Captain was an interesting and friendly man who worked incredibly hard the entire trip since we caught so many fish. It was a great excursion for kids who need to keep those poles bent to be happy!

me and my fiance went out looking for tarpon and captain Doug did eveything he could and made this trip amazing!! Since we werent in full season and they are tricky fish we didnt catch one but Doug still did his best and set us up perfectly… we will definitely be back!!! thanks Doug:)

Captain Doug gave us a great morning fish. Caught 49 fish. 7 varieties of fish caught. He got slams for both my wife and I. Slam is Trout, Snook, Redfish caught in the same day. I got the double slam. Prepared, knowledgeable, and super nice and patient. This is our 6th fishing charter. One of the best.
