Ferg's Guide Service welcomes you to New Smyrna Beach. Have an enjoyable day on the water as you fish Florida's productive grounds and observe beautiful nature. Skilled and friendly anglers, Captains Austin and Cole Ferguson will take you to various inshore and nearshore locations, including the backcountry, inlets, and artificial reefs, and do their best to help you catch some great fish. You'll fish from a 22' Pathfinder bay boat that can accommodate up to 4 guests. It's powered by a 150 HP Yamaha V6 engine, uses GPS, fishfinder, and radio systems for navigation, and is equipped with a wireless trolling motor. The boat also has an ice-box and a livewell.
There's a wide variety of species to catch depending on the time of year. You can target Redfish, Snook, Tarpon, Snapper, Blacktip Shark, Pompano, Jack Crevalle, as well as many more species. Using light spinning tackle, you'll catch them primarily by fishing with live bait, as well as with artifical lures at times. Children are welcome to join, so don't hesitate about bringing them along!
The crew will provide you with all the fishing gear except for fly fishing tackle (if desired). You're also covered for fishing licenses, live bait, lures, as well as bottled water, so you'll just need to bring some food before you depart. You can also have your catch cleaned and filleted at no extra charge.

Fishing with Austin!!
3/4 Day Trip Near Shore il July 24, 2025 • 2 adulti
The fish weren't biting for anyone (other charters that we talked with in passing that day), we did catch some sharks, plus jack. Austin took us to several places trying his best to find the fish. Very friendly and helpful. Plus in talked with several other boats out fishing trying to find the best location. It seemed like they all together trying to find the sweet locations. We will definitely fish with Austin again when we come back to Daytona and pass his contact on to others to fish with him. Go fish with Austin and his brother.

This was the first charter trip we have all been on. Captain Cole was real good with the to boys on are trip. Talked with us and was real good at helping everyone understand what to look for. We caught multiple kinds of fish and sharks. Even caught a 41” Red unfortunately too big to keep but was an awesome time. Highly recommended this charter team we will definitely be back again.

3/4 Day Trip – Inshore il June 23, 2025 • 2 adulti
Went out with Captain Cole Ferguson. He outworked every other charter that I have ever been on. Within 1/2 hour, we had 2 highly sought after sportfish. By the end of the day, we had caught 4 species and I lost Count of how many of them we had. We quit taking pictures after so many.

Fun day on the water

Captain Colt was great to fish with at the Ponce Inlet. He took great care of us and put us on a nice slot red. Snook and Jacks rounded out our catch. He communicated well and made sure we were comfortable. We recommend him for a fun day on the water!
