Houseboat Scalloping Charters invites you for a fun-packed scalloping adventure in Florida! Come visit Captain Rod Johnson in Homosassa and join him on a memorable trip in search of this lovely seafood delicacy. He'll take you to the area's nearshore grounds and provide you with all the necessities for your diving adventure. Pick a day that suits you the best and embark on a memorable fishing trip in Florida!

The boat you'll be using to reach your fishing spots is a 30' Adventure Craft classic boat. It can accommodate up to 6 anglers, runs on a 150 HP Yamaha engine, and uses all the modern GPS, fishfinder, as well as radio technology for efficient and safe movement on the water. The boat features a restroom, TV, and multimedia system to make your trip as enjoyable as possible. All gear you'll need for snorkeling will be ready for you on the boat.

You and Captain Rod will be searching some of the best nearshore spots for Scallop. You'll be drift fishing but you can also anchor and snorkel. You get to keep all the Scallop you catch. Feel free to take kids on your trip so they too can experience the beauty of scalloping.

Apart from all the snorkeling equipment, Captain Rod covers you for the fishing license. Just be there on time for your trip and prepare to have loads of fun.

The boat was perfect for those that wanted to chill in shade while others were sun bathing!  Capt Rod took us right to the Scallops and we got our limit and even got to see monkey island! It was a great day with Capt. Rod.  Highly recommend and we will be back!!!

Captain Rod was a fantastic guide. Very friendly and knowledgeable about scallops and the area. We caught four gallons of scallops. What a great day.

This was a great experience. I chose this charter because I wanted to make sure my group had a clear pace to get out of the sun. The boat was perfect. Had plenty of room for the 5 of us and the fact that you had shade when you weren’t in the water was great. We did catch some scallops. We didn’t limit out but that was because this was my parties first time doing it and it took some time for them to figure things out. We definitely had enough for a few dinners, though. I have to say, though, the best part of this charter was the captain. I’ve been on plenty of charters before and captain Rod is by far the most patient and nicest captain I e gone with. Out of the five in the party I was the o ly one that have ever snorkeled. He took his time and helped me adjust all the equipment and then gave a couple of them snorkeling lessons while I worked with the others. In my opinion he went above and beyond making us feel comfortable and he sincerely wanted to make sure we had a great trip. Thank you Captain Rod for an experience that we will never forget and we will definitely be back
