Thanks Captain Jake!
My family had been begging for a fishing trip on their recent visit to the Carolinas. Acting on a whim, I reached out to this service owned by Captain Jake Fishing Service. Although it was not the best choice for us regarding the time of day and weather(it was mid day during the heatwave) we all caught fish-which was the point. The trip was a little on the pricey side based on my experience with booking fishing charters, although I have no regrets because we made family memories.

Great birthday trip!

3 hour trip Lake Wylie il October 21, 2025 • 6 adulti

We took our son on the 3 hour trip for his 8th birthday with Jake and it was a blast! Jake’s boat was extremely clean and we were thrilled to find out that it had an enclosure with heat! It was only 43 degrees when we headed out so it would have been chilly! He managed my excited 8 and 5 year old boys with ease and we had a great experience! The boys landed lots of crappie, perch, and catfish! Our 5 year old is already requesting this for his birthday in March!

Jake provided an awesome fishing experience!! He responded to all questions/inquiries quickly prior to the date of the fishing trip. Jake was very knowledgeable and friendly! He provided us with information on boats as well as other fishing gear. If you are looking for a great fishing trip, book Jake!!! He was awesome from the beginning to the end. We will definitely book with Jake again!! Thanks to Jake my present to my husband was well received and appreciated!!

3 hour Trip – Lake Wylie - 9:00 AM il April 16, 2026 • 2 adulti • 2 bambini

Captain Jake was great. He has a good knowledge of the lake and where to find fish. We went with grandkids (9 & 11). It was their first time fishing for catfish, and now they are hooked! (pun intended). I highly recommend Captain Jake as a guide.

Half Day Trip – Lake Wylie - 11:00 AM il December 30, 2025 • 3 adulti • 1 bambino

Great guide, fantastic equipment (heater and covered cab in particular on a colder day) and we were on fish for almost the entire tour.  Several slabs - including a just-under-2 pounder - and plenty to bring back to eat/ freeze up.
