Todd's Rods Fishing Charters 

My husband and I have traveled everywhere and always schedule a charter every place we go and by far this was the best charter ever!!! Todd was awesome he was fun, kind, professional and just a real pleasure to spend our day with… he took us to so many different places to fish and we had a great experience with the variety of fish we caught!! Very attentive either keeping us engaged and bait on hand! We actually got to see dolphins, manatees and an air show… it was so fun we are booking again in September. Todd is very knowledgeable and knows exactly where to go to catch a variety of fish and also a great guide about St.Augustine. Thanks again for an amazing time!

Todd was an excellent guide from the start with great pre trip communication. Questions were answered promptly and kindly. It was clear what we needed to bring and what would be provided. He was ready to go upon our arrival at the marina and took the time to introduce himself and fill us in on his thoughts for the day. Boat and tackle were clean and in excellent working condition. Given a pretty rough open sea, we went the inland water route. Fishing was fun, we caught a nice variety of fish after finding them. Even managed a few keepers to boot. All the while Todd was patient with my family and took the time to teach us about what we were doing and why, which was a great learning experience from the upper midwest fishing we're used to! I plan to look him up again in the future when we come back! Todd is very knowledgeable about the area given he is a life long resident and grew up fishing the same areas he guided us through.

Todd is an incredible captain and local legend. He knew all the great spots. We must of caught 20+ fish. As a St. Augustine native he provided us with so much knowledge, is incredibly kind and is a great fisherman. Thank you Todd, we highly recommend only using Todd Charters if youre looking for a great day.

My husband and I and our 13-yr old daughter had a great time fishing with Captain Todd today. He was super friendly, knowledgeable and helpful - it made it easy for us three non-fishing people to catch multiple fish each. We caught sheepshead, bluefish & pinfish. Nothing big enough to take home to eat, but it was so much fun! We also saw several dolphins, osprey, cormorants, pelicans, etc. while out exploring the creeks and intercoastal. We were able to come in half way through for a bathroom break, so no worries about being out all day. Nice size boat, super clean, nice equipment, live shrimp that he’ll bait for you if you’re squeamish. My daughter had as much fun baiting the hooks as she did casting and catching. It’s a beautiful area and such a great way to spend a day. 5 stars all around. Highly recommend!

If your reading this and debating booking with Todd, just stop and book it! He is your guy. We booked the 6 hour inshore and it was 2 adults and our 7 year old son who loves to fish! We were hosting family for Christmas from STL Missouri. We caught at least 7 sharks, 9 stingrays, 30 speckled trout, 2 black drum, 3 sea bass, and a robin fish. As a mom and parent I was worried about taking the longest trip for a few reasons. 1.) sea/motion sickness. I did pre-med with zofran but did fine. 2.) bathroom breaks, we did take a bathroom break at the same marina we ported at. They also have some light snacks and drinks you can purchase. So that was nice. 3.) kids getting bored. My daughter ended up not going because I’m not sure she could have lasted 6 hrs. I wanted to include that you do go back half way or can go back to port at any time. I wish I would have had my daughter come and then had someone come pick her up if she got bored. I just did not realize that was an option. I thought we would be in the boat for 6 hours and not get off. I know I can’t ever explain in words how amazing this trip was. It was a literal dream, I am not a big outdoorsy girl but this was the most fun I’ve had in a while. We even saw dolphins and there is something so magically about seeing them in their natural habitat. This trip was worth every penny and would absolutely do it again! I have absolutely nothing bad to say and can not wait to come back next year!! Thanks again Todd for memories we will never forget and cherish for our lifetime!
