Spend the day fishing aboard a 20' Flats boat, on the deep waters off Tanzania's Island Coast. She features masses of fishing space all around and a covered top to give plenty of shade from the tropical heat. It can take up to 4 guests, runs on a 45 HP Yamaha engine, and is equipped with an ice box, spearfishing gear, and snorkeling gear.
The fishing around Unguja has to be seen to be believed. Skipper Mardeeny has caught Tuna weighing almost 180 lb here in the past, and some Marlin are simply too big to bring out of the water! You will focus mainly on trolling for Marlin, Sailfish, Mahi Mahi, and Wahoo, but can also jig for Tuna and other species lurking below.
If you wish, the fish you catch is yours to keep and kids are welcome to join your trip. The only thing to keep in mind is that smoking is not allowed on the boat. All trips come with quality heavy tackle from the likes of Daiwa and Shimano, as well as squid baits and trolling lures.
There's no need to buy a fishing license, and you will be given snacks and drinks to keep you going on your trip. Purtroppo c'è stata pochissima interazione tra noi e il nostro equipaggio. Non abbiamo mai toccato una canna o una lenza per tutto il pomeriggio e sembrava più di essere portati a guardare due locali pescare. Niente catturato e nel complesso un'esperienza davvero deludente, che sembrava mancare completamente il punto: volevamo fare della pesca!
