Captain Drew with Strike Charters is the best hands down. I planed a 4 hour half day trip for my oldest daughter’s birthday. My wife and two daughters have never been inshore fishing till today and he delivered. He is very knowledgeable about the area and knows where to find the fish. Captain Drew was a patient man when it came to my family and kids asking all kinds of question. The Covington family was very impressed with the whole experience. Drew has been fishing these waters for many years, learning all the hot spots and honey holes where the fish like to hang out. We met Drew at the Fort Fisher public boat ramp where he was waiting, having been out hours before catching bait for us to use on our trip. Drew has excellent fishing tackle for his customers- spinning rods spooled with braided line with Carolina rigs set up with one ounce sinkers and circle hooks. We left the boat ramp and Drew expertly navigated the multiple sand bars and shallow shoals and we were quickly positioned at one of his “spots.” His boat comfortably seating four passengers, has ample storage for our small coolers filled with snacks and beverages. I really loved the bow trolling motor which has gps positioning which keeps the boat where he wants it so we aren’t swinging with the currents. Drew baits our hooks and casts it out to where he thinks the fish are. Quickly we had fish on and battle to land the fish began. It was so much fun and Drew was a fantastic host, guide and Captain. Looking forward to our next booking with Strike Charters and Drew Tyndall.

He is very down to earth and has an extensive knowledge of salt water fishing in coastal NC. My fiancée booked Strike Charter for a birthday surprise for myself and her and it was nothing shy of a blast. We caught a variety of species from tarpon to red drum and even a small shark! My wife, father-in-law, and myself booked a morning charter while on vacation is Wrightsville. We had an awesome time. Capt. Drew had us on fish throughout the day and had the opportunity to pick his brain about locating fish and bait throughout the trip. I would recommend his charter to anyone from beginner to experienced. Never a bad day on the water, but can’t beat limiting out on slot reds. We boated a wide variety of fish and had our fair share of misses. Would absolutely book another trip with Capt. Drew anytime. Also side note, his boat handles extremely well even in some heavier chop in the sound. Thoroughly impressed.

great trip with Capt. Drew. Did the 3 hour afternoon teip and he put us on the fish. 2 of the Redfish we caught were absolute tanks - 28”+, so infortunately they got released back, but fun to catch on light tackle. Friendly, personable captain that knows the area.
