Fun Coast Fishing- New Smyrna Beach 

Our guide was seriously the best. You could tell pretty quickly that he was a dad because those dad skills came out with my very hyper boys. He was patient with them, kept them interested, taught them about fishing, and even managed to sneak in a few dad life lessons along the way. We caught almost a dozen fish, but honestly that wasn't even the best part. My kids actually learned things and he genuinely seemed to care about making sure they had a great experience. He wasn't just taking us fishing and counting down the hours. I also had some great conversations with him throughout the trip. He's incredibly friendly, and watching him interact with people around town tells you a lot about the kind of person he is. Super polite, knows everybody, and just has that genuine Southern hospitality that you can't fake. The boys had a blast, I had a great time, and we absolutely can't wait for our next fishing trip with him.

Captain Matt is the kind of guide you want on the beach with you, friendly, professional, and extremely knowledgeable about the local waters from Ormond Beach down to the Canaveral National Seashore. The setup was impressive with top quality surf fishing gear, prime location, a comfortable beach camp with chairs and shade, and everything ready when we arrived. Matt is certified in CPR, AED, and First Aid, which adds a level of safety you do not always find on fishing trips. He explained everything clearly, made sure we were comfortable, and kept the experience fun for all skill levels. We caught a variety of fish and learned a lot about surf fishing techniques. Matt knows the best spots and the right tides to fish. He offers filleting for a small fee or can bag your catch so local restaurants can prepare it fresh, a great touch that makes the experience even better. The business is veteran owned and connected with respected fishing organizations like Florida Surf Casters, Salt Strong, and Halifax Sport Fishing Club, which says a lot about their credibility and commitment to the sport. If you want a safe, well run, and truly enjoyable beach fishing experience in Volusia County, this is it. We left with fish in the cooler, great memories, and plans to book again. I will preface by saying we did t catch fish. But it wasn’t due to lack of effort. Matt does a great job teaching and keeps fresh bait on and ready. We had young kids and he did a great job with them and came prepared to make an outing with kids a success despite not catching. A great morning by the ocean!
