Gecko Sportfishing vi invita a partecipare a charter di pesca d'altura e costieri sull'Isola di Ocracoke, Carolina del Nord. Il charter è gestito dal Capitano Ernest Doshier che vanta un'esperienza di pesca di una vita e serve l'Isola di Ocracoke da più di 25 anni.
La sua imbarcazione è una Scarborough offshore sportfisher di 46 piedi alimentata da motori gemelli Cummins da 980 HP. Questa spaziosa imbarcazione ha molto spazio per ospitare fino a 6 pescatori che possono pescare comodamente, quindi siete più che benvenuti a portare alcuni amici con voi.
Gecko Sportfishing può portarvi a pescare nelle acque costiere per Cobia, Red Drum, Pesce serra e Spanish mackerel. Se avete più tempo da trascorrere in acqua, dirigetevi verso i relitti dove si possono trovare Ricciola, Black sea bass, Triggerfish e Cernia, oppure andate in altura. Le acque d'altura sono ricche di Bluefin tuna e Tonno pinna gialla, Marlin blu e Marlin bianco, Wahoo, Pesce vela e Lampuga (Mahi Mahi).
Il Capitano Ernest e il suo secondo vi forniranno l'attrezzatura da pesca necessaria che include canne, mulinelli, attrezzatura, esche vive e artificiali e una licenza di pesca. Possono accogliere pescatori esperti che pescano diverse volte all'anno così come pescatori alla prima esperienza. Quindi venite per una giornata indimenticabile!

Great experience. Ernie was flexible on timing based upon changing weather forecasts. Boat was much larger than we expected and resulted in comfortable cruising. First mate Daniel was superb. All equipment provided was in good working condition. Captain did his best to find the fish and Danial did a great job cleaning our catch upon return to the docks. It was a great experience for our party.

Captain Doshier and his first mate Daniel were awesome. We caught our limit of amber Jack in about 30 minutes and wrestled with them the rest of the time. Trolled for king mackerel and tried to snag some triggerfish as well. Very personable and laid back, definitely will book with them again!

There is no guarantee of what one will catch, but this was a perfect trip. Great captain and the mate, Daniel O'Neal was very helpful to the 2/3 of the party who had never been offshore before. We got lots of meet- bailing dolphin and best of all, the captain got me on my first blue marlin and Daniel help me get him to the boat!. Estimated 300#!

We'd initially booked a half-day wreck fishing charter, but opted to stay closer to shore to fish for blues and mackerel because it was rough and stormy. We're sure glad we did: we started hitting blues in the first five minutes the lines went in, and four hours later, arms tired, we'd landed about 20 bluefish along with a dozen nice Spanish mackerel.
All three in our party were occasional fishermen but this was our first charter (an anniversary present to my wife); Captain Ernie and first mate Daniel were terrific throughout, both helpful, friendly, and informative (and they obviously knew where the fish were). Daniel worked hard throughout, keeping us in tackle, but he took the time to show us what he was doing so we could do it on our own, too. I'm sure most of their clients had more experience than we did, but we never felt like we were asking dumb questions.
The boat itself is well maintained, stable, and comfortable--we were in rough wind and water the whole time and got tossed around, but never felt unsafe. Good facilities, no clutter, clean and easy to fish from.
I'd recommend this experience (and this crew) to anyone, experienced or novice. Thanks, Ernie and Daniel!
