  Wanna catch fish - Call Captain Fitz!

  Captain Fitz gave us an outstanding experience from start to finish. He worked incredibly hard to put us on fish and never let up, constantly adjusting and doing whatever it took to give us the best shot at success. We caught some really nice Redfish!! What really stood out, though, was his character—he genuinely cared about our experience. He even let us fish longer than our scheduled trip just to make sure we had every opportunity to enjoy the day and make some great memories. You can tell he’s not just running charters—he takes pride in what he does and goes above and beyond for his clients. If you’re looking for someone who is knowledgeable, dedicated, and truly invested in making your trip special, Captain Fitz is your guy. We’ll absolutely be booking with him again.

  Great Fishing Trip…Highly Recommend

  Captain Jonathan did an outstanding job putting us on fish! He was extremely knowledgeable about the area, worked hard to keep us on the action, and made the trip enjoyable from start to finish. The highlight of the day was watching my son catch his very first shark—he was absolutely pumped! His mom wasn’t quite as thrilled… 😂 If you’re looking for a captain who knows where the fish are and works hard to make sure everyone has a great experience, I highly recommend Captain Jonathan!

  Amazing fishing trip!

  We had an amazing fishing trip with Jonathan! My family and I went out with him on a three-hour trip. He knew right where to go and we caught our first of twelve big fish within minutes. Jonathan proved to be a skilled fisherman who was able to find the fish when they moved, plus handle the lines when we caught multiple fish at once. He was very personable and did a great job helping the kids reel in the big fish. It was a great experience and we hope to do another one the next time we are in the area.

  great trip

  jonathan was great we asked to go big fish hunting he explained we could catch loads of small ones but the big ones maybe more risky. we had bad luck with the fish not biting but jonathan kept moving us around in search of the big ones. finally at the end of the day we caught 2 big Red fish and jonathan kept us out past our allocated time explaining we werent leaving until we caught our fish. my boy absolutely lived it. thatnk you jonathan.

  we booked with hook n run when our previously scheduled charter cancelled on us the morning of our trip. Jonathan was able to work is in later that same afternoon, but the conditions had degraded. we did cach a few sand trout and a catfish. we hooked in to a few big fish but they all snapped the line before we caught a glimpse. Jonathan was cool the entire time and had us on fish. If we go back to Clearwater, I wouldn't hesitate to book with him again!

  Thank you so much for the review and for giving me the opportunity to get y’all out on the water, especially on short notice after your original charter canceled. I’m glad we were still able to put you on fish and make the best of the afternoon. Before the trip, I did explain that the wind was expected to pick up later in the day and asked if you were okay with fishing those conditions after my morning charter. You mentioned that your main goal was simply to catch fish, and I’m happy we were able to make that happen despite the tougher weather and changing conditions. I also appreciate the kind words about my attitude and effort throughout the trip. As captains, we can’t control weather, tides, or every fish that gets hooked, but we always work hard to give customers the best experience possible. One thing many people may not realize is how much a 4-star review can impact small charter businesses in this industry. Ratings are extremely important for visibility and future bookings, and even when guests say they’d book again, anything less than 5 stars can hurt captains who truly work hard to provide a quality trip. I genuinely appreciate you fishing with Hook N Run Charters and would love the opportunity to get you back out next time you’re in Clearwater under even better conditions!
