Cpt. Ryan did a great job for us. Put us on the fish. Caught trout and had a great time. He is local and knows the waters. You can’t go wrong.

A proud angler holding a large Redfish while on a boat, showcasing a successful day of fishing in a coastal environment.

REDS, SNOOK, TROUT

feb 25, 2026 • Bradenton Beach
? Seasonal Patterns • March fishing (transitioning toward spring) often brings improved shallow-water action for snook, redfish, and trout as waters begin to warm — great for sight fishing around mangrove edges and flats once consistent warm weather returns. • Resident tarpon and early pelagic species (e.g., kingfish, bonita) may start to show later in the season as spring progresses. ? Tips for Success ✔ Fish structures like docks, bridges, and reefs on windy days — these offer shelter for fish and can concentrate bait ✔ Live shrimp, fiddler crabs, and small baitfish are top winter baits ✔ Work deeper water or nearshore structure when the Gulf is too rough to access

Current Conditions & What’s Biting

feb 24, 2026 • Bradenton Beach
Weather & water: Recent cold fronts have brought chilly temperatures, gusty winds, and some unsettled water conditions. These fronts are still influencing fishing activity around Anna Maria Island and Sarasota Bay — expect rougher conditions offshore on windy days. Inshore action: • Sheepshead, black drum, and redfish are reliably biting inshore now, especially around docks, rock piles, seawalls, and bridges. Live shrimp is working well for these species. • Redfish and black drum are showing up along residential canals and along Gulf beaches as well. • Spotted seatrout and snook may still be present in the bays and passes — particularly in clearer pockets of water — but they’re more weather dependent right now. Offshore and nearshore bite: • Nearshore reefs and wrecks are producing a mix of snapper species (lane, vermilion, mangrove) and red grouper. • Amberjack have been caught on wrecks in deeper Gulf waters (near 100 ft+).
