Epic 4-Hour Blue Marlin Battle โ€“ A True

Riepilogo della Battuta

On the afternoon of July 8, we headed toward the Lighthouse, working the Pacific coastline. Just after passing Pedregal, we deployed our trolling spread. Moments after putting the first lure in the water, a sailfish appeared behind one of our โ€œGuacamayoโ€ lures, then switched its attention to the rigger bait. In an instant, everything changed. Before the sailfish could take the bait, a massive blue marlin charged in and inhaled the rigger bait, delivering an explosive hookup that would become one of the most memorable battles of the season. Thinking it was initially a sailfish, we were quickly proven wrong when, only 10 minutes into the fight, the blue marlin launched into nine spectacular full-body jumps, clearing the water each time before making a powerful run to the south. After one hour, we managed to bring the fish close enough to grab the leader, but the marlin erupted again, launching out of the water and peeling line off the reel in another blistering run. Forty minutes later, we had the fish within 4 meters of the boat, but despite changing the boatโ€™s angle and applying different techniques, the marlin refused to surrender. It made another run, shorter than the previous ones, and within 15 minutes we worked it back alongside. The battle continued until, after an incredible four-hour fight, patience, teamwork, and multiple fighting strategies finally paid off. We successfully brought the magnificent blue marlin to the boat, completing one of the most epic catches of the year. โธป Conditions: * Excellent afternoon blue-water conditions * Strong Pacific currents * Aggressive billfish activity near Pedregal * Perfect conditions for trophy blue marlin โธป Summary: An unforgettable offshore adventure featuring: * ? 1 trophy blue marlin landed * โฑ๏ธ 4-hour battle * ? 9 spectacular aerial jumps * ? This was a true test of skill, endurance, and teamworkโ€”an unforgettable battle that every angler dreams of experiencing. ?????

Big Yellowfin Tuna Sightings & Mixed Fis
Big Yellowfin Tuna Sightings & Mixed Fis
Agosto 6, 2026
On the morning of August 6, ADRENALINA 1 departed Cabo San Lucas for an 8-hour fishing charter, heading toward the Pacific side in search of yellowfin tuna. Early in the trip, we located an impressive school of yellowfin tuna, with fish estimated in the 80โ€“120 lb range actively showing on the surface. For nearly three hours, we worked the school using several different techniques and presentations, including Hoochies, live bait with 60 lb fluorocarbon leaders, trolling lures, and feathers in multiple colors and sizes. Despite seeing quality tuna throughout the area, the fish were extremely selective and refused every presentation. After giving the tuna a solid effort, we changed our strategy and began searching for mahi mahi and marlin, heading toward the waters near the Lighthouse. With no strikes on the troll, we switched techniques again and tried bottom fishing, successfully landing a triggerfish. After approximately 40 minutes of bottom fishing, we returned to trolling and deployed pink, Flying Fish blue-and-white, and lime-green Hoochies. The change immediately produced action, resulting in six skipjack tuna, all of which were successfully caught and released. We then headed back to Cabo San Lucas Marina after a full eight hours of fishing and several different techniques on the water. Conditions & Techniques: * Large yellowfin tuna schools located on the Pacific side * Yellowfin estimated at 80โ€“120 lbs * Live bait with 60 lb fluorocarbon leader * Hoochies, trolling lures and feathers * Bottom fishing near the Lighthouse * Multiple strategy changes throughout the trip Summary: * ? 80โ€“120 lb yellowfin tuna observed * ? 3 hours targeting yellowfin tuna * ? 6 skipjack tuna caught and released * ? 1 triggerfish landed * ? 8-hour charter aboard ADRENALINA 1 The trophy yellowfin were there and showing themselves, but they were extremely selective today. Even after trying multiple techniques, they refused to cooperate. By adapting our strategy throughout the trip, we still found steady action with skipjack tuna and bottom fishingโ€”a true example of the persistence and versatility required in offshore sportfishing.

Agosto 5, 2026
On August 5, ADRENALINA departed Cabo San Lucas for a 5-hour morning charter, fishing from 6:00 AM to 11:00 AM. We started trolling east along the coastline (90ยฐ heading) using a productive spread of pink, blue-and-white, and green Hoochies, along with mini trolling lures in pink/white, blue/white, green/white, and silver/blue. The action started early when a skipjack tuna struck the spread and was successfully landed and released. Continuing along the same course, off Cabeza de Ballena, we enjoyed a double hookup of skipjack tuna, with both fish successfully landed and released. As we reached Santa Marรญa Bay, the first mahi mahi of the morning struck a blue-and-white Flying Fish lure. After a short two-minute fight, the fish threw the hook just before landing. Staying in the same area paid off. Shortly afterward, another mahi mahi hammered a pink Hoochie, and this time it was successfully landed. Moments later, a Pacific sailfish attacked a blue-and-white trolling lure, but after several spectacular jumps, it managed to throw the hook and escape. The action continued when another mahi mahi struck a pink-and-white trolling lure, but it also came unhooked. Just five minutes later, the crew experienced an exciting double mahi mahi hookup. One fish struck a pink-and-white lure, while the other attacked a blue-and-white lure. Both fish were successfully landed, bringing the total to three mahi mahi on board. Before heading back to Cabo, while trolling off Chileno Bay, another skipjack tuna struck a green Hoochie, providing one final fish to end an action-packed morning. โธป Conditions: * Calm morning seas * Excellent blue-water conditions * Active mahi mahi along the coastline * Consistent skipjack action * Productive waters off Cabeza de Ballena, Santa Marรญa, and Chileno โธป Summary: An exciting 5-hour morning charter aboard ADRENALINA featuring: * 3 mahi mahi landed * 2 mahi mahi lost * 3 skipjack tuna released * 1 skipjack tuna landed * 1 sailfish hookup lost after spectacular jumps Another outstanding morning in Cabo San Lucas, with nonstop action, multiple hookups, and a fantastic mix of pelagic species from start to finish. ?????
