6 hour trip

It was a bit slow at first, but after an hour the fish started biting. We were fishing with five lines, and sometimes we’d get bites on three lines at once; we caught 12 fish in total. It was fun.

We were trolling, looking for pelagic species, and headed 38 miles out from the bay. Nothing was biting, so we switched to live bait for a couple of hours; it was very quiet. We radioed other anglers to ask how the bite was, and it was slow for everyone. Finally, a sailfish took the bait and put up a great fight.

It was a very slow morning when we started our fishing day; we decided to troll and caught Spanish mackerel, small albacore, and blue runners. We switched methods and tried bottom fishing, and four jack crevalle took the bait.
