Captain Donald was a great guide. Put up with my dad and uncle on a boat alone and was very patient and polite. If you knew my dad and uncle the way they behave, Donald should be considered a saint. Would highly recommend.

I don’t do charters very often and have had some bad experiences with them in the past. But since I was visiting a friend in Melbourne I thought I’d give it a go and try to get my first snook and get my girlfriend on her first big fish. Captain Don did a great job putting us on the fish and showing us the technique. He managed to get 2 novices multiple stud snook and myself on snook after snook and finished the day with a bull redfish. We all had a great time and I look forward to coming back in the future.

Captain Don did an amazing job of putting my father and I on fish the entire morning! His boat and equipment were well kept and fairly new and he had no problem filling the live well with lots of good bait. We successfully fished three habitats in a four hour charter. He first took us to some nice eel grass flats where we landed a good sized sea trout. Then we headed to the inlet where we were expertly put on more fish while the surrounding anglers looked on. We caught three respectable snook. Then we ran down the beach until we found some tarpon rolling near shore. We hooked a 100+ pound tarpon and fought it for a long while until it straightened the hook. Capt. Don took many videos and pictures throughout the day. Had a lot of action, but could only land a few. Good fighting fish and barracuda kept us from getting them on deck. Weather shortened our time on open water but was still a blast. Don brought us close to shore to try for some snook and we were able to get a nice Jack. It was a great time for all and will be back to try again.
