Let me say this man is an amazing guide, fisherman and human being! Pulling up to the first spot I looked at his depth finder and was expecting him to have the fish finder on like every guide I’ve seen. There was no fish finder on and within 10 minutes we were slaying the crappies! End of the day we ended with lots to eat and some really nice slabs! I think there needs to be more than 5 stars for a rating for this man and his small business. We are going to make the 5 hour drive to spend a week with this guy out on the water! Great conversationalist and with all the bang for your buck!

    Had an awesome trip with Jeff at Rend Lake – Lakeside Guide Services. We hit our limit and were on slab crappies the whole time. What really stood out was how efficient everything was. no fancy tech, just pure experience and knowledge of the water. Jeff knows exactly where to go and how to stay on fish. You can tell he’s been doing this a long time, and it shows in the results. If you want a guide who gets you on fish and keeps it simple and effective, this is your guy. Highly recommend will definitely be back

    Enjoyed our time on the lake

    Captain Jeff provided a great fishing experience. The weather conditions weren't the greatest, but we made the best of the day. We loved being out on the lake and checking out the scenery while fishing. Jeff even gave us some extra fish that he had on hand since we didn't catch that many fish. Jeff was patient and explained the best ways to catch the fish, we just need more practice!! We would definitely book with him again.

    Thank you very much Steve. Yes the weather wasn't very good for fishing. I believe we still had over 20 crappie. Hopefully your next trip the weather will be much better. Stay safe out there & I'll see you this fall.

    Great Fishing Trip

    Guide was good and knowledgeable. All equipment needed was provided. Put us on fish. After the trip captain cleaned the fish and rinsed them as good as I would have done myself. Then he provided a plastic zip lock bag, an ice pack and a small cooler. Our captain Jeff also has a bed and breakfast if the drive is too far for one day trip with package deals. All good!

    JEFF IS THE BEST REAL CLASS ACT HAD A GREAT TIME. IF YOU CAN LISTEN AND FOLLOW DIRECTIONS HE WILL PUT YOU ON THE FISH! IF YOU CAN HOLD A POLE YOU WILL CATCH FISH WITH THIS GUY HE IS THE FISH WHISPERER…HAD A GREAT TIME WILL BE BACK

    Great day fishing for crappie!

    Had a great day fishing on Rend Lake today with Captain Jeff. Experienced guide, nice boat and good equipment - we caught a mess of crappie! Jeff knows where to go to catch fish! AND he and his wife cleaned them all for me! I recommend Lakeside Guide Services and plan to book with them again. Larry Kinzer P.S. Jeff and Teresa have an Airbnb in Ina that they rent if you need overnight accommodations.
