Unfortunately poor fishing

Captain Tom was very accommodating to myself and husband in trying for us to catch some big fish. The fish just was not having it! We only caught small perch and bluegills. But that even became difficult to catch. We know that is how it goes when fishing. Captain Tom friendly and took us to several spots on Lake Geneva. He also gave us some education on the lake. We went 430p-830p.

Thank you for the review u guys were great the bite slowed down that nite for sure but we still caught some fish

    Awesome fishing guide!

    Tom Stygar was the epitome of a professional fishing guide. We were celebrating out 60th wedding anniversay and he brings me flowers and a card! We are in our mid-eighties and he made getting in and out of the boat easy! Because of the extreme heat, he suggested we moved the time back several hours which was a blessing. Tom had patience teaching me to use a rod and reel. And, yes, we caught fish. Everyone should experience this guide!

    Captain Tom was as wholesome as they come. The chill vibes coming from his soul were the same chill vibes we felt out on the water all afternoon. The experience was truly incredible, and one that we’ll remember for many years to come. Would definitely recommend Tom for any group looking for a good time & helpful tool / source of information when it comes to any of your fishing needs or desires. God bless our Veteran’s - such as Tom !!

    Captain Tom was great!

    We met Captain Tom at the pier and got right to it. fishing was slow, but we knew conditions (time of year, weather, etc) were far from ideal. Even with a slow start, Captain Tom worked tirelessly to try and get us in the fish. Service was excellent as he had plenty of gear setup for us to use. He made suggestions on lures/methods, and showed us nimerous hot spots on the lake. We did finish strong with some nice action to end the day. Honestly - that was just a nice bonus. We had already decided that we would be reaching out to him for future outings. Great guy, great experience!

    Captain Tom with REEL Patriot Service is the real deal. My dad and I booked an early morning trip with him, and from the moment we arrived, he was ready to roll—boat in the water at 6 a.m. sharp, fully prepped with drop shots for bass and fresh nightcrawlers. What stood out most was how seamlessly he balanced preparation and coaching. He didn’t just hand us rods; he explained the logic behind the setup and coached us through the mechanics. Any time I lost a worm or came up empty, he had another rod pre-rigged and ready. There was never a moment I sat without a live bait in the water. Conditions that morning were tough, but Tom still helped us bring in a variety of fish—walleye, rock bass, largemouth, and some monster panfish. More than that, he kept the energy high with great conversation. His knowledge of conservation, his passion for the sport, and his stories from programs like “Take a Vet Fishing” made the whole outing engaging and meaningful. Even on a challenging bite, Tom created a trip worth remembering. I’ll definitely be booking again—this time for a muskie trip, his specialty. Highly recommended for anyone who wants a prepared, knowledgeable, and genuinely enjoyable guide to share the water with

    We hit the fish!

    Had an amazing time with Captain Tom. He is tremendously knowledgeable and did a great job coaching my teenage son on Salmon fishing techniques. Boat is well outfitted and we caught several sizeable Salmon on Lake Michigan and had an amazing time. Would higly recommend!!!
