  Awesome Day of Fishing

  Captain Aldo went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed every minute of our day. We caught fish in every spot we went to, not all fish were keepers, but we did catch our 2-person limit of Speckled Trout and several keeper Black Drum. At the end of the trip I think we must have caught over 100 fish total. In between catching fish we talked, laughed, listened to awesome music, and joked around making it a most pleasurable experience. His concern for the safety and the pleasure of his clients is phenomenal, a very rare trait these days. Captain Aldo is a very experienced saltwater fisherman and knows the entire Rockport area like the back of his hand and where to find the fish. Captain Aldo always explained the reason behind every technique we used throughout the day so we could take that knowledge with us, and he shared a lot of things that some guides try to keep secret. Captain Aldo is in it for the pleasure of the clients not just for the money, his heart is truly in it, and his love for the fishing experience is evident. You cannot go wrong when you book with Hold'em Up. We stepped on the boat as clients; we ended the day as friends and can't wait to get back for another trip. We have booked many guided trips in our life of 60 plus years, and this trip ranks in the very top. Hold'em Up!

  Captain Aldo was born and raised in Corpus where he grew up fishing these watere with his father. In my experience those are the best guides. Aldo did not prove that theory any different! Not only did he put us on fish, his professinalism, hospitality, and company made it an overall blast of a trip. Putting us on fish was just an added bonus. We will definitely be booking with him again. He’s a great Captain and an even better human!

  Man man where to start First thing first it’s hard to put into words the AMAZING time me and my girl had on this trip with HOLDEM UP FISHING . He really is a genuine down to earth fella you will not regret booking with him 1 his humility as a human being is top tier he you can tell he really want to build bonds with the clients and not just worried about the next trip he is focus on you an y’all only an having a great time 2 you know it’s great time when you can great inside joke with the Captian within the amount of time you have on the boat “ ima put it in the review “ lmaooo 3 he also great with tips an instructions for the anglers that aren’t as advanced an never showed a single ounce of frustration not once . Just a happy fellow ! 4 we put fish in the boat on HOLD’em Up fishing 5 this more for the ladies I can appreciate as a man taking his girl the respect given to me an her since the moment we met till the end even after the trip he did phenomenal an ladies he got the potty seat very clean if yall need to go while out on the water !!   When me and the wife book our first trip to Corpus Christi, I absolutely wanted to hit the water and “hold’em up”! This trip with CAPTAIN ALDO was all about giving me and the wife the best experience out on the water. Captain Aldo and I communicated for a month and with that, communication speaks volume in a person that doesnt just do it for the money. Captain Aldo took care of us like we knew him all our lives, and hands down he knew where to be at the right time on the water to load shrimp, cast, pop, and 1-3 seconds, and ON , and on the BOAT TO HOLD’em UP! support local is the ONLY WAY! please don’t hesitate and BOOK CAPTAIN ALDO! hope this review will help futre bookings! “hold’em up” is not a joke! 🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽

  What wifi connection do I at Marquette Took my two boys out for a guided fishing trip to celebrate one of their birthdays, and it turned into one of those days we’ll be talking about for years. From the moment we got on the water, our guide was completely locked in—attentive, patient, and genuinely invested in making sure both my boys had a great experience. He had a great way of explaining things so it clicked for them right away, offering tips and advice that actually made a difference. You could tell he wasn’t just going through the motions—he cared about teaching and making it fun. The tunes he blasting were rocking the boat and fish. What stood out most was how he balanced everything. He kept us on fish, helped my sons when they needed it, and still made sure I got to relax and enjoy watching them have a blast. Birthdays can be hit or miss, but this one was a home run. If you’re thinking about taking your kids out or just want a guide who knows their stuff and makes the experience memorable, I’d highly recommend booking a trip. We’ll definitely be back.
