first off - Captain Mike was awesome! he inseantly made us feel welcome and as if we had knowm him for years. my 10 year old son was catching little sharks left and right. we caught 2 nice size sharks that we kept and grilled, they were so good!! i would absolutely recommend to anyone that might be thinking about doing this trip!!!
We had a great experience with Capt Mike’s 4 Hour Fishing Charter for the 7 AM trip. The boat was very comfortable with plenty of shade, which made the morning enjoyable for everyone. Capt. Mike gave clear instructions throughout the charter and made the experience easy and fun, even for beginners. What stood out most was how attentive he was with my 10-year-old son. He took the time to help him throughout the trip, explain everything clearly, and make sure he felt involved and confident. You can tell he genuinely enjoys what he does and wants everyone to have a good experience. Highly recommend for families and anyone looking for a relaxed, enjoyable fishing trip.
We fished a bit out of season (mid-March), so the action was slower than usual. Even so, Capt. Mike did everything he could to get us on some fish and made sure everyone had a chance to catch one. In the end, everyone brought a fish into the boat, even if they were smaller than what we’re used to catching back in Minnesota. For us, it was simply great to be out on the water together. It was also nice being on a larger boat. The water was fairly choppy the day we went out, and the size of the boat made the trip much more comfortable and provided some protection on a cooler day. Had a great fishing trip with Captain Mike and First Mate Tyler on the Sarah Mads. Highly recommend. Both are seasoned fishermen and quickly got bait, onward to the fishing grounds and into fish. We caught several grouper, red snapper and a variety of other species. Put him in my contacts and will fish again. Sara Mads is a bigger boat and can get out to the fishing reefs. Recommend a 6 or more hour trip. Cheers!
The family had a great time and caught a lot of fish. Captain Michael was great and very knowledgeable about the area. He was very accommodating and would recommend this experience to anyone who is looking to book a fishing trip in the area. The boat is amazing and the onboard bathroom was a positive for the family. You will not be disappointed!
Caught a few cobia fish. had a couple big fish hooked but lost them. Captain and first mate are very knowledgeable and easy going! Would recommend to otthers. Thanks Captain Mike and Tyler.
