All six of us caught our Halibut limit plus we brought in dozens of cod. I was dropping my line and immediately getting strikes. I could not have asked for more for my one day fishing in Alaska. I would highly recommend Captain Seth and Curtis for a great trip.
Wonderful day of fishing aboard the dreamcatcher II - Seth and Kurtis were great at explaining everything and made sure the day went smoothly! I caught lots of halibut and felt like I was cranking on the reel more times than not! As someone with very little experience fishing, I would highly recommend Heaven’s Gate Charters - everything went seemlessly! Definetly the highlight of my visit to Homer! I didn’t expect to have this feeling but on the way back into Homer it had me wondering if I could fit another day of fishing into this trip!
Captain Seth and first mate Curtis made our family fishing trip in Alaska a very memorable one. They both were very knowledgeable and great with our kids getting some really nice fish aboard. We were hoping for a little more halibut but they weren’t on the bite, that’s okay though because the cod tastes great as well and the fish action never stopped! Highly recommend this duo if you’re looking for a great charter. We are definitely booking with them again when we return to Alaska.

I had a couple other Charters cancel due to high winds and not offer to reschedule. I contacted Seth and he was very honest about conditions on the day we had the trip booked. We had some flexibility in our schedule so he recommended a day when the water was not as rough and it was worth it. Although we could not keep Halibut (due to regulations) we caught many Halibut, Cod, and a few Rockfish. Would highly recommend Seth if you are looking to have a good day on the water and catch fish. Non stop action mostnof the day.
My finance and I (man and woman) took this trip for early season halibut. Knowledgeable, helpful, and fun crew. Had a great day out on the water, caught our limits, and couldn't have asked for better weather. Some of that is luck of the draw, but I think we would've had fun regardless! Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a charter in Homer!
We started catching fish right off the bat. We limited on Over Halibut and Unders. Also caught plenty of Cod. Went home with sore arms and plenty of fish. Capt Seth offered to move us up to a day with good weather which we are so glad we did. I’m glad he was looking out for us.
