Our trip wit JJ was great. The fish were not there like we wanted, but we caught some fish and had great conversation with lots of laughs.
JJ Brown of Kenai River Trout Anglers answered all my questions about the charter, made it easy to setup our trip. Our guide Brandon contacted us the day before to go over some information and get our shoe and wader sizes, this made our shore setup time shorter, and on the river sooner. Brandon shared many stories and information about the area with us. We covered a large stretch of the river working caster and fly rods. He did his best under our wet weather and high water conditions to put us on some fish. It was a fun afternoon, we would recommend chartering with these guys.
Such a fun phenomenal trip especially want to highlight Jake who was super kind very informative entertaining and helpful to novices such as myself told us everything we needed to know gave us lots of good opportunities encouragement the trip itself was also phenomenal incredible views and many great opportunities to catch different fishes.
My wife and I have never fished on a float before, so it was a little intimidating. Our guide (Brandon) did a great job of explaining the process and helping us understand the methods. We caught some nice fish and even had a couple “double” catches. Very beautiful and relaxing fishing trip. I would recommend this to anyone looking to experience Alaska and its beauty.
Great day on the beautiful Kenai. Matt did a great job of coaching 4 novices. He took us to excellent spots and we caught (catch & release) over 20 fish! Included sockeye, trout, Dolly Varden. Matt was super knowledgeable, patient and entertaining with lots of fishing stories. Great day - highly recommend and will do it again if I’m back!

Four days before our trip our oldest broke his leg. JJ was super accommodating and Owen, our Captian, was the absolute BEST! He was a walking encyclopedia and had a wealth of knowledge about the salmon, trout, rivers and lakes, and all the other wildlife we saw. We had THE BEST time!
